Medical for K1 vs. Medical for AOS

Hi,

Can some1 please clear this up for us.......

My fiancee got all the medical stuff done (blood test, Chest x-ray, vaccines) as part of package 3/4 for Greece for our K1.

Now, we want to file AOS...are more medical exams needed? Can we forward those results?

The medical results are about 2 weeks old.

As far as I am concerned the medical is good for one year. But you need to go to a civil surgeon to get the form I-693A, the vaccination supplement. Prices vary so shop around (not more than 40 Dollars I think). All they do there is to verify the vaccinations.

K1 people, please correct me if I am wrong!

Hi,

I called two places and i got price quotes of $175 and $150. Any1 use some1 in NY, that was cheaper...or is this the going rate?

She's done all the exams all she needs is, the info transfered over to the suplliment form (thats sufficent, correct?)

As long as the K-1 medical exam was less than one year from the time you submit the AOS documents, no further medical exam is required.

The I-693A (Vaccination Supplement) can be prepared by a Civil Surgeon by transferring the information from the Vaccination Worksheet (from the K-1 medical) if you have a copy. We paid $35.00 to have the CS do this for us. Some people just submitted the Vaccination Worksheet and did not require the Worksheet to be prepared. The decision is up to you.

The prices you were quoted might include additional vaccinations or the medical exam, not just the filling out of the Supplement. Keep calling around to find one that's a bit more reasonably priced.

Be aware, some docs try to sell you the whole medical which you don't need! If you want to drive, we went to the doctor in Nashua, NH, she was very nice and knew exactly what we needed and what not.
