And I thought I was an old fart. Daniel, it's LOST, you have to make an exception for LOST! Staying up until 10 won't kill you. We have to go to Charlotte again tonight for another doctor's appointment tomorrow. I told Javier, we have to get there by 9. If it means we don't stop for supper, too bad. We can't miss LOST.

well, given that we get up at 4:30 am it is really best that we be in bed at 9-ish.

My Michigander niece is 10 and I keep crank calling her with: "DETROIT IS GOING DOWN!!! PREPARE TO CRY!!!" Am I evil or what!??!! I am just so happy I can share my post-season insanity with her.

Ana has not been feeling well of lates. Some kind of bug. So definitely not gonna wath Lost tonight. I will stay oput of this thread tomorrow so you guys can post away about the episode.

I didn't really like it -- the beginning was good, sooo totally bored when it's jack backstory, didn't really get excited about the scenes with jack/kate and the others -- perked up for sawyer scenes but that was it. I was expecting more surprises

I thought it was okay. The little village on the island was a little strange. And so is Ben aka Henry. I just wonder what the next two weeks have in store for them.

I thought it was slow and BORING . . . I'm only vaguely intrigued by the whole village/neighborhood glimpse. Otherwise, very disappointing.

I thought it was good. I am looking forward to this season! I agree with Robin - wanted more Sawyer screen time. Everyone has had it with Jack's backstory. I watched this episode with some buddies and when Juliet punched Jack they started clapping and hollering. Poor Jack. My neighbor kept calling Jack a sissy. Oh, where is Daniel, our resident Jack hater?

I read that there would be much emphasis on a kate-jack-sawyer love triangle this season

I assume the person writing that was a man because it is just not credible that kate would waste too much time dithering about Jack when you are stuck on a near-deserted island with Sawyer.

And true to his Sawyer way, within 5 minutes of the opening credits he had given someone a nickname, calling Karl "Chachi"! Sawyeerrrrrr

any woman with a rudimentary gadar could sense Jack's orientation a mile away. Kate is so going to go for Sawyer. It is the only logical choice.

my thoughts... emmm so and so. was disappointed in the 'shock' treatment we got for an opening night. but a number of interesting tidbits. some allready mentioned. another that stood out was when Sawyer boasted of figuring out the fancy gadgetry, the 'other' responded by saying that it only took the bears two hours. what bears? the huge polar bears???

I did like how they showed the 'other' community as a 'normal' looking place. I was trying to sumper impose that village with the one jac/sayer/kate/hugo found at t he end of last season. maybe like a parallel world thingie. dunno.

this ben/henry characther really gives me the willies though.
