I filed I-130 petition for my husband in Aug 2011 and a week after I received the notice of receipt. But since then I haven't got any in the mail regarding update. I've been calling USCIS and they just tell me that the petition is within normal processing time. It's taking so long and I feel so sad. Anyone who is in the same situation?

This is s very process, your situation is not abnormal.

dont worry we are an Aug. filer too and still waiting for that NOA2 be patient :)

All I know, is that I need you... I need you in my life as much as I need food or water or air to breathe - for the longest time, I've had this thirst deep inside... only to be known and understood and be loved for who I am. I have longed for someone, someone like you - to share my life with... all the ups and downs and everything in between. then out of no where - you walked into my life, quenching my thirst, satisfying my longing. and I know from every thing with in - that you are the one... you're the one I've been waiting for all this time. I want and I need you - more than I can usually find words to say... But today and always - please believe and know that you're the one for me and I'll hold you close and I'll never want to let you go...

When in August did you file? That may a difference in relation to being told whether or not you are in processing times or not. Some people on here have waited 6-7 months for an approval or otherwise. Dont worry too much about it but I understand and share your frustrations, as do many others.

You can try the following: calling USCIS again (my husband was told to call after our processing time has expired - 5 months) or if it has expired, try speaking to a congressman who may be able to contact USCIS on behalf. It has worked for some but not for others. Otherwise you may need to wait.

In agreement with other, you need to update the timeline function on your account. It helps other VJers to give you advise and helps log progress of the whole process. :star:

I love my husband!!

We all are very anxious and frustrated. I am so desperate to be with my husband it is untrue. So the 22nd will mark the 6 month mark...perhaps call a congressman and see what they can do. Also please keep calling USCIS.

California for some reason is very slow at the moment but another August filer was approved so please dont give up faith.

I love my husband!!
