None, if you make 125% in just your income you don't need to use personal property or bank account or savings etc.

i do make it but it just a little over the the 125%, i decided to explore other options. my fear is that the 2012 will put me out of the new 125% too! i have some saving but how does that work?

For cash assets, it's not unusual for them to ask for 12 months (or more) of statements from the financial institution where the money is on deposit. They want to make sure the money is actually yours to dispose of, and not a recent loan you obtained to help you qualify. They have the discretion to disregard assets if they don't believe the assets will be available, when needed, to support the sponsored immigrant.

If you're really close you may consider a co-sponsor to be on the safe side. Ghana embassy is very tough on papers. Make sure you use tax transcripts.

what do u do if the 2011 transcript is not ready? i have all transcripts but 2011

Then use a complete copy of the tax return including W2's and all schedules.

If you have filed your taxes , 2011 tax transcripts are ready.I requested mine a week ago and got them yesterday for tax year 2011.

i filled on the 5th of Feb. But any time i check i keep getting "A transcript is not available for the year you have requested i.e 2011."

i will wait and keep checking, i am shipping the final paper works before my fiancee's interview in 3 weeks.

Good luck... .just give them all you can for 2011 if you cant get the transcript..... w-2s, paystubs, bank statements, employment letter... I would have 2010, 2009, and 2008 transcripts to be on the safe side since it is early in the year... I rather have had something then not :)

Good luck!!

For personal property, I listed the value and noted in each case it was the fair current value. For real state, you could use comparables or check similar houses sold in your area. For cars, Blue book; tools an such, estimate the value.

Didn't provide any supporting documentation other than the make, year model and blue book value and as I said, a couple of paragraphs in attached sheet saying that it was the fair trade value according to the Blue Book; but I had also provided a bank letter showing 6-month average balance. I had copies of title and deed ready in case it was asked but according to my now wife, they didn't look at the I-134 at all (in fact, they didn't look at anything and only asked her 3 questions: Where do I work, Had she been in the US and Had she been at my place.
