Skype Log - how many is too many?

I didn't submit a single skype page with my 129F application and I got approved. Now, going into the interview I am printing all 6,000 pages (double-sided) and compiling them in 5 separate 6-inch binders for my fiance to take with her. So my 100 pound fiance is taking in 50 pounds worth of supporting documentation... I LOVE IT!

That is overkill and not necessary.... a reasonable amount should do the trick

Thank You All!

I almost sent all those pages... so I guess 5-10 photos is enough as well? I don't have to send 50 of them? :innocent:

Every Embassy is a little different but, it is my opinion that if you have very thing in order, meet the requirements, then you will be approved. I would have some proof of relationship things as a back up but like most said just a few pictures, recipients, a few pages of chat etc.

I always shake my head when I hear people talking about the 500 page dossiers they put together. It's just not needed

OP: Check the "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy" (links atop every VJ page) for what's said about your embassy. Is front-loading of a USCIS petition necessary or advisable for when USCIS sends the petition package to your embassy?

It's OK to include some "evidence of bona fide relationship" with your petition. USCIS won't care, but your embassy or consulate might. For some (Ecuador is the chief example), front-loading of the USCIS petition is not only advisable, but crucial.

When it comes to picking the evidence that you add, be sure that it's what you want them to see. The amount that you send depends on how particular (or evil) your consulate is. Consider also the amount and type that would hold your interest if you were a hard-working third party (like a consul): Would it be meaningful and sufficient, or would it make your eyes glaze over?

And, for God's sake: If you're submitting an I-129F petition, double- and triple-check your enclosures (actual messages, or logs with message titles) to ensure that you do NOT refer to yourselves as "husband"/"wife," even playfully!

In general, U.S. consulates/embassies in first-world or VWP countries, and powderpuff embassies like Manila, typically don't require front-loading. Petitioners whose beneficiaries will interview in third-world or high-fraud countries typically would do well to front-load at least somewhat. The Vietnam embassy and the China consulate have specific requirements that it would be well to learn about and deal with during the petition phase. The Guayaquil consulate in Ecuador -- a ####### hellhole with its own thread in the Consulate forum -- has been notorious for refusing to accept evidence brought to the interview and then accusing the beneficiary of not having provided any; therefore, front-loading the USCIS petition is a must. Nigeria is in a class all by itself. Regardless of beneficiary's country, everyone who's preparing a petition should read the reviews and consult the appropriate Regional Subforum for important -- often crucial -- insights, si man.

Hello,

So I converted our Skype Log to a document and there are 331 pages from October last month alone.

Do I really need to print all that out and send it with my I-129F?

I must add that I have a lot of photos, proof of two visits, boarding passes, passport stamps, text message bills, and long distance bills.

Thank You for your help :)

We've recently submitted our I-129f application. Our story is a little bit more complicated than the average, so we decided to be a little bit more cautious and printed out 50 pages (about 3 months worth of Skype chat) out of 2,500 total. If they don't need it, they can ignore it. But we felt safer by providing as much proof of ongoing relationship as we could.

We had no Skype. Sent copies of boarding pass and 4 pics as 'proof'. You don't need to overkill.

WOW! Thank You - I thought I have to submit it - I don't insist.

I had no idea we will need it for the interview - is there a list of what is needed for the interview? I'm like you know not there yet.

I assume the list will be provided in the notice of action?

Thank You again for your help.

What you will need for the interview is in the Warszawa Embassy site. Or, you can wait until your petition reaches there and you'll get a list in the mail. Additioanlly to what they were asking, we only had a few documents attached to the I-134 Most of what you'll need are documents that you would have: birth certificate, divorce decrees if any, pictures, vaccination records, etc. The only thing that you will need to work on is the I-134, it is the affidavit of support, which as before, no need to overkill; you'll have the opportunity to do that later in the process (AOS).

For now, sit back, relax and wait; it'll be a few months before anything happens (or if you are one of the lucky few, you'll have something within a couple of months)

I had 100's of pages of skype log. I presented none. I do not recommend it. For I129F I recommend:

1) Primary proof of meeting in person for all times you met, i.e. passport stamps, hotel bills, air ticket stubs

2) Couple of pics for 2ndary proof

3) Print out of telephone bills

4) Letters of Intent

For K1 interview:

1) All of the above + new visits while waiting and pics

2) Attend the interview - always works in favor
