So it has been 5 months 3 weeks and 2 days since I got NOA1. My fiance lives in Vietnam. Vermont is handling my application and it feels like they are taking longer than the 5 months on average processing time that their website says. How long did it take to receive NOA2 from Vermont? I am only interested in those who went through Vermont, Vietnam K-1 process.

Thank you

Have you tried to call USCIS? Maybe you can put a service request now. Vermont has been pretty quick lately (about 4 months, VJ stats), and it doesn't matter at this stage in which country the beneficiary lives.

We did Vermont, but this was last year. When we hit the 5 months; I called them. They told me to call back in 90 days; so I contacted my congressman with the specifics. Magically, 3-4 days later, I get an approval. Coincidence? Maybe; but others seem to have done same. In any case, you have nothing to lose and much to gain. Go to your representative web site; they have instructions on how to contact them. Make sure you give them a release of info to avoid delays.

Good luck

I received my NOA1 from Vermont on August 1 and am still waiting on the NOA2. I called last week and was told that I should receive a status update in the mail by February 24. Hopefully, it will be good news. The wait is frustrating, but know that there are others in the same boat.

I called the USCIS this morning and was told that they were currently processing applications received by August 21, 2011 so if you guys applied before that date then you all should have got an answer by now. I don't know what the heck are they doing but I think they are blowing smoke at me. I cannot submit a service request to Vermont asking for a status update yet because supposedly my application is still within normal processing time. So I asked how much time it needs to go on in order to be considered past normal processing time and they couldn't even give me that basic information.

Did you mean district senator or your actual state congressman?

we did NOA1 to Noa2 to in about 90 days at VSC. for Philippines. We were in a cyclical when VSC was ripping them out. That happens . They build up then they go through periods where they have quick turn around.

I have a FB friend who works at VSC, The official word is a call from the congresman does not help, but they have told me it does. They will push them out just becuse the Director does not want to deal with the people who set his budget.

Ooooh yes, a lot of people. Just look at Igor's list (Immigration Timelines tab on top) and you will see. Unfortunately, that will be unuseful to tell USCIS that you know people after that date got approved.

we applied August 8th. NOA1 Aug 10th. It's been over 6 months now.

and we have received nothing. No update on the USCIS website, no update from the Telecenter. I've filed a letter with the immigration specialist of my congressman, and have filed a request for status update on February 10th. I was told I would get a clearer update in 15 days. not an approval, not an explanation, just more excuses.

on the six month mark, i suggest calling the USCIS center and put in the request for a status update which will take up to 15 days.

Because Vermont is supposedly currently processing applications of August 21, 2011 and my official NOA1 is August 22, 2011 they cannot submit a ticket to Vermont asking to investigate the delay. This is all a bunch of bull ####### since many VJ members that applied for the same Visa after me already got approval in DECEMBER!!! #######
