Any idea about it? Is the a big issue or just normal official step? I'm so worried about it! :help:

I wouldn't worry, as said every case is unique.

We went through the same notions when my now wife received her RFE after waiting 5 months of nothing...

In the end it was just a simple birth certificate problem, they weren't happy that her birth certificate was a certified copy (even though it truly was).

She just spent 30 minutes at county records, got a copy and sent it back.

In the end it added about 3 weeks to the total process (see my timeline), we got approved just a few weeks after she replied to the RFE, so it was all good.

Bottom line is if you are honest from the start, and don't ever withhold ANYTHING from the USCIS, and you know in your heart of hearts that you qualify for a K-1, you shouldn't worry, just deal with it when it comes..

Best of luck to you both!

Thank you so much for your warm reply! Actually there is no question about our case and relationship, but my only concern is about the time. I wanna reach him soon, I can't wait and I was just worried if this RFE makes things more slow.

So you think this will cause only few weeks not a BIG BIG issue?

Thank you again, you made my day with your reply!

Cheers

Yeah, I think it's been mentioned, we've all been in that boat, or are in that boat.. Sadly I didn't see my fiancee for a year and two days in the end, BUT the main thing is you WILL get there, and the time apart will be memories. I would honestly say the time apart makes you stronger, and will definitely make you appreciate the simple things like a kiss and a hug once you are finally together.. it WILL happen, you just need to be patient. Honestly yeah, in my experience an RFE usually comes in the mail to the US petitioner pretty quickly, they generally only give you 2-3 weeks to reply with the requested information, and really after sending it all off our case was picked back up in less than two weeks, look at my timeline, from the date we were notified electronically of an RFE to the date the I-129F was approved what one month and one day, but just remember this included the time for her to receive the RFE notice, for us to gather the necessary information, send it back AND for them to approve it, so really it's not usually the end of the world. I was scared into thinking that an RFE meant you went back to the 'bottom of the pile', but really that wasn't the case for us.. so keep on Skyping and keep your head up. The good news is an RFE means they're FINALLY looking at your case, so not long to go. Time to buy a wedding dress

My letter of intent may be the issue. The letter that I created basically had a signed statement from me, and then there was another statement near the bottom of the page that was for her to sign. I sent her my signed copy, she signed it, and scanned it to me. So, both of our signatures are on the same page.

If they'll require the originals, I guess it may take a few weeks to get it...

They have to be original - no scans - that must be reason of the RFE :(

Have you read the thread yet? It wasn't the Letter of Intent.

A different user thread-bombed this thread :innocent: , referring to user Neash's post, not the OP.

EDIT: Or maybe not, oops, either way I need more coffee :help: :help: :help:

:bonk:
