This morning they updated the embassy interview schedule to show only March.

And it looks like they have scheduled

450 total interviews

198 DV lottery interviews

252 family based visas-all they way back from 1998 till 2011

So I guess those that have a priority for their immediale relatives will be caught up in interviews too!

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

I am looking at the http://egypt.usembassy.gov/consular/iv8.html - schedule for immigrant visa appointments for Cairo consulate. I see only 26 DV related appointments for June 2012. What does it mean?

There are 4664 winners from Egypt in DV-2012. Where are the interviews?

In DV-2010 there were 4201 winners and 3253 DV visas were issued for Egypt. That is a lot, should be several hundred per month. Where are the appointments?

According to http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9166 , consulate in Cairo processes all visa categories for residents of Egypt. Are the interviews for egyptians for DV somehow conducted in another consulate? Where? Why?
