At exactly 4:00 pm today, February 13, 2012 I received BOTH an email AND text message stating that our application was approved!

This is with the CSC and it took exactly 4 months and 1 week.

No RFE, no touches, no nothing just simply approved. Just called my gal and shared the news!

Frankly because of scheduled work commitments I was actually hoping for approval in May! Go figure!

Its funny I noticed people who are needing their approval so badly get theirs in 6 months or more, and people who want it to take a little longer get theirs very fast....

So far mine has been there for almost 6 months and I needed my approval to come sooner..

My girlfriend is here in the usa on a j1 visa (aupair) with NO 2 year home requirement here visa is up in November 2012 we are looking to get married in the usa what forms do we need to file and time line are we looking at. The stories and miss information I've been getting is driving me crazy and Im looking for help. We have been talking for over one year and last year i went to visit her family 3 times (with Picture to prove) I meet her just before she was starting her j1 process and it took almost 12 months for her to find a host family which lucky is only 2 hours away from me. I have 2 children that do not live with me but she has met and really like everything is great but the lack of info on j1 changing over to being married is very veg. Would love to hear from anyone in this similiar situation thanks !

OP.. this is where i get confused.

you got the NOA2 approved.. does she still have interview the consulate.. or this approval is after interview and she has VISA in hand ??

congrats.. either way.. it is good news!

Lol of course it is supposed to be an approval for NOA2 that is why CSC was mentioned. If it was the approval at the embassy there was no need to have mention CSC. :D
