Question about medical booking for London

Actually two questions...

1. I have my EAC number generated by the NOA1... is this the same as a 'case number'? Or is a different number generated at a different point of the process?

2. IT says i need my case number to book the medical in London. (reason why i ask question #1) Am i able to book my medical before i receive 'packet 3' and have them hold the sending of the report until i ask them too (after i have sent back my required packet 3 forms and evidence)

Any help appreciated, thank you so much.

1) Your case number will start with LNDxxxxxxxxxx

2) I was IR-1, i dont know if it differs at all, but you can book as long as you have your case number and should do it in time for the results to get to the embassy! I'd say go ahead and give them a call!

~{gap as I spent the summer in England}~

03/11/11: Paid AOS and IV fees

04/11/11: AOS and IV fees shown as PAID

08/11/11: AOS Packet sent

09/11/11: IV Packet sent

18/11/11: RFE received requesting AOS packet (which had already been sent)

21/11/11: RFE received requesting 2010 tax return

22/11/11: Sent 2010 tax return

29/11/11: CASE COMPLETE!!!

EMBASSY

10/12/11: Medical @ Bentnick Mansions

30/01/12: Interview @ 9am [APPROVED!!]

01/02/12: Passport with visa inside, and medical packet arrive via courier

02/03/12: Flight to Denver!

Sure my case number will begin with LND? just want to know when a case number gets assigned if its going to be different from the number i received on the NOA1. Remember this is for a k-1. It may differ to your IR-1 ?

an embassy case number is not the same as any of your other numbers. It starts with the letters of the embassy as well.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

NVC will issue an LND number. As soon as you have that and your police certificate you can go ahead and book your medical. The results are valid for 12 months.

01/27/2011 - Trevor's N400 submitted
02/18/2011 - Married
04/02/2011 - NOA1 hard copy received - priority date 03/30/2011
07/08/2011 - Trevor is now a USC - called USCIS to request upgrade of the petition.
08/02/2011 - NOA2
09/08/2011 - LND case number received, medical booked
09/26/2011 - Case complete at NVC
09/30/2011 - Interview date assigned
11/08/2011 - Interview - approved!!
11/10/2011 - Visa in hand
12/04/2011 - POE in Atlanta
12/12/2011 - SSN number received in mail
12/12/2011 - Welcome notice received
01/06/2012 - Green card received
09/06/2013 - File for Removal of Conditions
10/01/2013 - Biometrics for ROC
02/03/2014 - Card production email received

02/17/2014 - 2nd card production email received

02/28/2014 - 10 year Green card received

Your Case number is issued by the NVC, it is not the number on your NOA1. As the above posters have said it should begin with LND it will be on your packet 3 with the list of documents you need to send back to the embassy. The doctor will not let you have the medical exam without the LND number.
