I am going to be applying for a UK General Student/Tier 4 Adult Visa in the coming months so that I can attend New College Nottingham to study my A Levels. I am 17 years of age currently, and I will be turning 18 on the 23rd of December (approximately 3 months into my study).

I have been doing my research on the interview portion of the application, and I was hoping that anyone with the proper knowledge (or even better, experience in such a process) could assist me here.

1. Since I am 17, even though I am applying for an Adult Visa and will be turning 18 during my study, does my mother still need to be present during my interview?

-> this is not an issue. I'm simply inquiring on this because I do have the ability to drive myself to the interview location, and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to go alone. I'm assuming that my mother (my sole guardian) will have to be in attendance, and so no matter what the case, I will have her come along regardless. But, I'm just interested to know the answer to this question as I'm unable to find it online myself.

2. I have also been taking a look at the questions asked at the interview. Has anyone here been in such an interview? If so, were all of the questions listed here asked?

Thank you!

Why on earth would you want to do A Levels?

No clue. More than a few of us have pointed out to her that she should just go straight to uni, but I don't think she's ever replied substantively why doing A-levels is appropriate given her circumstances.

To the OP: you're better off looking on a website geared towards Americans emigrating to the UK, like http://uk-yankee.com/. You have very specific UK visa questions that very few (if any) of us will have the answers to.
