Very sorry to hear that. What more evidence do they want?

They asked for three things

1. Birth Certificates for children (which we do not have yet)

2. Financial Documents

3. Rental Agreement

Once I have finished gathering all of the papers for my husband's RFE I will make a list of all the subsequent proof that we will be sending.

sigh...

Working in Turkmenistan, spouse is with me.

Dealing with the NVC process...

Check out Timeline for questions :D

The same here.

1. We do not have children.

2. We did send everything possible we could: my car lease- my husband is a cosigner , taxes for the last 3 years, joint bank accounts) besides that we do not have any financial bills or documents together since everything was taken care by my husband before I came to US (which is pretty obvious because of my poor credit score I still can't do much in this country....

3. My husband ownes the house.

Plus on top of that we sent 3 affidavits from our friend, my boss and my father in law.

In your case, I am really surprised that they asked for more financial documentation - did your joint bank account not span a long period of time (was it only a few months out of the 2 years)? Also, its irritating that they ask for birth certificates of children even after you listed no children in Part 5 of the I-751 form. Looks like the officers don't pay any attention and can't focus on reading.

I wish you the best of luck. Just gather what you can and I am sure they will approve it ASAP.

My husband and I also received an RFE but for communal residence. SInce we didn't have a joint mortgage (we can't get joint loans because I have no credit history), we just wrote attachment letters explaining our situation. We also included mail (letters and cards from family and friends as well as junk mail) addressed to both of us as proof that we live together. Are you an authorized user on his credit cards? If you are but your name doesn't appear on the bills, make a copy of your credit cards (you can black out the numbers except for the last 4 digits to show that they match) and include bills / statements showing the card is active and being used by both of you.

milobabe, our case status was on "Initial Review" even after we received the RFE then it finally updated when they ordered card production. I have since received two more txts and emails - one saying they had mailed my new card and the last one saying USPS picked it up :)
