Doing Taxes

I'm starting my taxes for 2011, which is also my exit year and have a couple of questions.

1. I applied for EI in December 2011 but since I'm a K1, I'm not allowed to work yet and I haven't been paid any EI. Am I correct in assuming that I won't get an T4E and won't need to worry about EI payments to me on my 2011 return?

2. Do I qualify for federal and provincial non-refundable tax credits? I worked full time during 2011 until November 21, 2011--my POE date. I haven't gotten any income since my POE. If I do qualify for these credits, do I have to do anything additional to claim them? I've read that for previous tax years, we could still qualify for non-refundable tax credits if 90% of our income is from Canada--which mine is. I wasn't sure if this has changed since then.
