I'm now in the club of CSC petitioners who have seen people with later NOA1 dates that have been approved. I'm happy for everyone, I really am, and I know some people are in way worse shape than I am. I really do realize it. I just have this fear in the back of my throat that something's gone wrong with mine, that I did something wrong or something. I really hope and pray I don't get an RFE!

Oh com'on - seriously, getting an RFE is not the end of the world! Look at it this way, your're on a journey, and as long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other, you will eventually get to your destination.

If you start getting all negative and frustrtated it can even effect your relationship. Plan on a long journey, and then be surprised if you get there sooner than expected. It's almost always best to expect the worst and just hope for the best.

As long as you stay on the path, you'lll get there.

Best Wishes,

Bill

Bill is right. I also watched others mere days and even weeks past my receipt date get their approvals, and felt your frustration. But I kept telling myself, I am well within the expected waiting period so what's up with that thinking?? Lo and behold, here I am, on the approval list today. So don't give up. Yours is coming toooooo. :P

Thanks TucsonBill,

I try to do exactly what you said - think of this as a journey.

I'm worried about getting an RFE too but that is a step forward so I guess it's better to see it that way.

I know it's hard to be away from a love one.. I was not thinking about it so much...And she kepted wondering how I was doing it.. and why I didn't tell her how much I missed her... So we talked about it ..and I broke down and cried...Ya I'm the Man...but I couldn't hold it in anymore... and we both cried and now she understands.. My control..my brave front...was for her.... I never told her how if I listened to our songs..I had tears...How I kept trying to finish a song for us...but I had tears and had to quit.....But now she understands... And now I tell her everyday how much I miss her..and need her.. I had forgotten to say these words..because I was fighting the tears..before..

Talk...communicate... and be strong for each other... because this is the last time you have to be apart without choice..This is the last leg of your journey...the last bump... because after your together..you'll look back at this time..and agree..it wasn't so bad........

yeah, I think I'm getting negative and frustrated because someone else in the relationship is getting frustrated. I keep trying to be the voice of reason, but it's hard sometimes!

I have worried many times during the last SIX AND HALF MONTHS (!!!) that our file had been misplaced. To begin with I was outraged to see a file one day younger than mine approved before mine. But I've learnt to let go and now I think it doesn't matter what USCIS throws at us - they won't break us!!

Good luck. :D

yes there are those of us who have been passed up it seems, :help: but really try to stay positive, I know that it is hard ...believe me I know. :crying: I try very hard not to send negative vibes out about my situation  I dont know if I could be effecting it by having bad thoughts...so I would rather not risk it.

This is a trial of patience and it will turn you inside out if you let it. Considering there are still many of us that are further back and still waiting, you're not alone and certainly not forgotten.

One of the things that I've made the mistake of is anticipating my NOA2 to happen by a certain date...in fact many dates have come and gone that I thought might be the day.

Many of us here seemed to start feeling a bit of relief as we were seeing the approvals rolling out once again, but also it's been disheartening that while July and August petitioners have gotten approvals, there are still some March thru June ones that are still waiting.

I'd recommend looking everyweek (Saturday) at Gary's updated list to see the progress. Other than that, just keep reminding yourself to be patient...which I know is not easy. :star:

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! It's hard because I'm having to be the support through this for me and my fiance, who doesn't really realize all that's involved in the process. And I might have given him false hopes because when we were researching our options back in late June, CSC was processing applications from early to mid May. So we thought it would be a lot quicker. Then IMBRA came along, and I've had a hard time trying to explain to him the beaurocratic process here!

I know how you feel and the waiting can be very frustrating when specially your other half doesn't understand... but you know it will come... you have a time frame that when it passes you can complain or voice your frustration. Imagine being on a name check for 17 months without any progress and there is no time frame. No one tells you anything... why because we're from Iran and have to pay for being from that side of the world even though I've been in this country for 19 years and he is been in Germany for 7 years... So stay positive and believe that you will have your day.

I wish you luck and more patience.
