Hey everyone. I am relatively new to the site as a member but have visited for quite some time now to get information and answers. I have been engaged to my fiance since January of 2011. We were planning to submit the visa paperwork last summer but had some medical issues and had to wait. Patience is hard for me, and I have much respect for everyone in this community.

I try to visit him once a month but I haven't been able to go since October. He got transferred to a different City that is far away from his hometown, and placed in some pretty scary housing. His boss won't tell him when he will allow him to return home so we don't even have a day to count down till. We don't know for sure when we will see each other next. A lot of times we don't even know when we will talk next. Our only means of communication is skype. He doesn't have a cell phone, and even if he did it is way to expensive to communicate that way for us. Skype is very spotty for us. I use skype mobile from my phone, and he uses skype mobile from one of our tablets. A lot of times he catches me when I am driving and going in and out of service so we usually get cut short on our conversations, and frequently end our chats with dead air instead of the normal goodbye. The housing they are staying in has no wifi access so I can only skype with him when his boss allows him to go into town after work.

I know we are SO close to the end of our visa process, and I am hoping for our NOA2 by the end of next month, and hoping to have him here with me in April.

How do you all deal with the waiting?? I feel restless. Increasingly restless. I can't see him as much as I used to, can't talk to him like I used to, and I am just stuck here with no end in sight.

I'm to the point where I feel skeptical and almost doubtful that he will ever be here. Our case should be fairly simple and a quick open and close.... but the longer I wait the more nervous I am getting for RFE's.
