My fiance recently recieved a letter from the us embassy in london telling him that they had recieved an approved petition and now he needs to complete the appropriate forms.

He has completed allthe forms required:

DS-230 part1,

2 x DS-156,

DS-156k ,

2x DS-157 and

checklist 2001

He also has all other documents that the embassy require from him - military records, police checks vaccinations etc. We are both very confused as to what he now has to send back to the embassy. Some forms tell him to send back DS -156 part 1 and the checklist 2001 ONLY and others ask to send all the documents back. From what we are reading, he cant get an interview appointment without having a date for a medical but he cant send the forms off to recieve a medical date from the sounds of it! Can anyone please clear this up as we are terribly confused and the website seems to contradict itself. Thank you for your help!!

this is an excellent thread for UK members... http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/page__p__5138437__fromsearch__1#entry5138437

this is the way i am doing it... return all the forms except DS-2001 and cover letter to the embassy (do not send in any documents no matter what the forms say), schedule and take the medical (when i called last week they had dates available almost straight away), then return DS-2001 and cover letter to the embassy telling them you are ready for interview... wait for the embassy to issue an interview date.

the embassy will not issue an interview date until they are in possession of all forms and your medical results
