My wife and I have a company in China we want to get our green card and come back to China and work a few more years till we get enough residual income to live back in America, I know there is special permissions you can get, how fast can we get it and leave USA?

If you're not ready to move to the US, then get it when you are.

I agree with the other replies. If you and your wife not ready to live together in the US and you have not yet filed a petition, don't file until you are. When the time comes for you to move, you will be able to file at one of the USCIS field offices in China since you have indicated that you will be living there together for an extended amount of time and it goes without saying that you would have a residence permit.

We already have our CR 1. Those options are not relevant. My question is having the CR 1 now but want to come back to China and manage company until we have enough money to live in USA or just sell company.

A Greencard is not a permanent visa. It is for living in the US. If you live in China, your wife's residence will be deemed abandoned and you'll start over at square 1.

True, but the OP is talking about "a few" years of living and working exclusively abroad. A reentry permit is for 2 years max and status must still be maintained. I'm not saying its impossible but maintaining residency in the OP's case is going to be unlikely.

Otherwise, the PR can voluntarily give up their GC and apply for a new IR-1 visa when they are ready to return.

True, but the OP is talking about "a few" years of living and working exclusively abroad. A reentry permit is for 2 years max and status must still be maintained. I'm not saying its impossible but maintaining residency in the OP's case is going to be unlikely.

Faced with that choice, most people I know will go to the effort to maintain permanent resident status. It's not that difficult to do.

If you're talking two years, yes it may be possible. If you're talking 3-4 as "a few" implies, not so much.

ROC is still possible as long as residency has been maintained. Make sure you are paying US taxes, etc. because obtaining a reentry permit is NOT a guarantee you will be admitted or that they won't determine your GC has been abandoned.
