Hi All Visa Journey Members!

So an update on mine and my husband's case. We got married on New Year's Day and we filed for adjustment of status immediately after, through a law office. The USCIS just cashed our check, which means that they have received our package on 02-10-2012. We were just wondering if you all know of the estimate time this whole process takes? My husband will be in afghanistan for about 8 months so I was going to ask if I'll need him with me at the interview as well.

If he is there on military orders as an active duty military personnel - you bring his orders and letter from command with you to the interview.

They will have no issue with this.

If he is there as a contract worker not an active duty military its likely he will need to return for the interview.

If he is there just working for a company - he needs to return for the interview.

Edit - Moved to AOS forum from K-1 as this is a question about AOS interview.
