A year ago President Mubarak stepped down after nearly a 30 year reign in Egypt. I've linked a few stories from NPR. The first one was done today in honor of the anniversary and is 11:20 long.

A Year After Mubarak, Where Does Egypt Stand? If you follow this link inside the audio box is another link called "See Full Story" and you can read further there.

The second piece you can listen to from NPR was done on Feb 9th this year and is an interview with Wael Ghonim. The formerly anonymous Facebook page administrator who launched the technological side of the revolution and is also the head of marketing for Google in the Middle East. It's 38.37 long.

Wael Ghonim: Creating A "Revolution 2.0" In Egypt

He also did an earlier piece in Jan. about the process of a revolution. You can read the article and listen to the audio interview here.

Wow the year really flew by.

One year??? That is crazy. I was in Morocco when this happened and it was interesting watching it unfold in an North African Country instead of here in the states.

My mom kept emailing daily to come home sooner but Thank GOD Morocco had little Protests and a different outcome with the Kingdom.

Thanks for sharing this news...

he shouldn't even be addressed as "president" or "ex-president" he should be addressed with words like killer, butcher, tyrant or maybe mother fuker...u have a variety of choices.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
