Hi, guys:

I am preparing my AOS documents (from K-1 holder) and have some questions with I-864. My husband is my sponsor for this form.

1. For question 25 concerning tax return:

My understanding of this part is :if we are going to submit the photocopies of my husband's tax return of the 3 most recent years, we need to check both of the boxes under this item as the following:

I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years. I have attached the required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the most recent tax year.

And

(Optional) I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal tax returns for my second and third most recent tax years.

Is that correct?

2.For Part 7 concerning household assets:

My question might be stupid but I still want a confirmation from other people: my husband's income is much higher than the Federal Poverty Guidelines requirement.Does that mean we needn't fill out this part at all or provide any evidence for the assets?

Another quick question about G-325A:

Does my husband also need to fill out a G-325A or we just need to provide my G-325A?

Thanks a lot for any answer

Thank you for the helpful answer.

Any suggestion for how much annual income can be safe for us not to provide assets information and evidence? Our household size is 2 persons.

Many thanks!

This link: I-864P shows the minimum. If your sponsor's income is comfortably above those numbers, then there is no need to show any assets.

For 2 people, you and your sponsor, that minimum is $14,710 for the I-134, and $18,387 for the I-864. Note: Some time after March 1st, these numbers will change, probably going up around 3%.
