thanks everyone

i have a couple questions

first some background

i am a student for a degree in IT.

i was not making enough income in my old job and quit. am now going full speed ahead on an IT job but nothing yet.

with old job had insufficient income for me so i have a co sponsor. i864 has been filed and approved at nvc.

i also dont have my w2 tax forms yet.

for her interview i read she needs my income tax recent filing.

so am i correct that i can do this

send 2 pay check stubs as income proof and tax w2's for me and my co sponsor. i expect to be employed with out any difficulties and these entry level

jobs have pay range that will put me over the poverty guidelines.

what are the likely scenarios the at the interview?

approve because we have co sponsor?

approved but on hold till i have my income sorted out?

denied.?

thanks very much and we really appreciate all the good wishes :)kicking.gif

Your most recent tax return until April 17, 2012 (deadline for 2011) is the 2010 return. If you sign the I-864 before that date, then 2010 is fine. Same for your co-sponsor.

so am i correct that i can do this

send 2 pay check stubs as income proof and tax w2's for me and my co sponsor.

A w2 is not a complete tax return. You would need a full return with form 1040 and any Schedules that are in your return PLUS the w2. Or you could order a tax transcript free from the IRS and use that alone. I would use more than 2 pay stubs for supplementary proof of current income on an I-864.

You can be approved with a joint sponsor who meets the income guidelines.
