Were son and daughter of a permanent US citizen(my mother). I'm now 19yrs old and my sister is 24yrs old. I just want to asked maximum time for the processing of each one of us. Thanks. GOD bless to all.

If ur mom petition now it will be 3+ years for u and 6+ years for ur sis.....U will b under F2A category and ur sis under F2B.....

OP: You are currently in the F-2A category which currently has a wait of 2.5-3 years for the Philippines. However, you are likely to turn 21 before the priority date would become current which would drop you to the F-2B category (the same category as your 24 year old sister). The current wait time for F-2B visas for beneficiaries from the Philippines is 11 years. Additionally, LPR's can only petition children who are unmarried.

This link may confuse you, but it is helpful to understand how the system here works. It also gives you a very real, very current status update on how long things might take. Do not feel distressed with the dates, sometimes their is a big jump in time, other times, their is a long wait ( months) for a change.

In addition, my other sister in the US told me that the petition was receive by the government last jan 26 2012. I'm now 19yrs old and my birthday is dec.8. In your personal opinion guys I will still be govered in f2b category? Thanks again.
