Where can I find the barcode to put on form DS-230? Or do I even need it? Any suggestions on how to have paperwork arranged for the interview? This is how I have it right now.

Original I-129F that was sent

chat logs (huge stack)

recent evidence (western union receipts, rebtel calling cards, telephone nigeria recharge cards for MTN, airplane ticket stubs, current chat logs, letters, mail receipts)

DS156

DS156k

DS230

I-134

w-2s for 2011, tax transcripts 2008-2010

bank statements, letter from bank, letter from employers, pay stubs

will print out interview letter, we have NOA2, and the letter received from NVC with Lagos case number.

What will be the first information asked for? I assume the interview letter? Also, how to they call for the forms? By the number of the form or the name of the form?

Thanks!

I think u meant barcode for DS 3032

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/DS-3032_barcode_instructions

@dwc...I'm curious to know why u would advise against Western Union receipts as evidence.

im curious as to why u wld suggest form 3032 and what does dat hv to do wit k1 visa at the interview? hv u gone thru lagos in the past?

as to da west receipts, well think it thru.. and imagine u hv a hard, judgemental CO at the interview.. and better yet hv seen places where does receipts were misjudge as payment for da process.. again, she is k1 applicant and not cr1. anyways, its my take and i didnt say shwin it is wrng.. but i do knw u shld always prepare as if ur intvw or CO will be da hardest on dat day.

From the thread i have gone through in Nigeria.i dont think DS 230 is needed for a fiancee visa.other documents you possess are alright.Make sure your finacee write another letter of intent to marry with a recent day.The only forms needed are ds 156,156k and i-134 affidavit of sponsor and also make sure that her income is more than the 125 percent of the poverty guildline. The forms that have Barcode online is ds 156k not ds 230.i wish you the best

If you read my statement it was "I think you mean",because the form mentioned does not have a barcode regardless of whether it was K1 or CR1. I'd imagine people suggest Western Union receipts to show they share finances with their fiance'/spouse. I was curious to know your philosophy as to not using. I did not refute your comment.

ok, no wahala.. i think for married couple, it strengthens; but for engaged couple, ill thread with caution. if they have joint account, then include statements with both names.. again, its just the fact that its unpredictable lagos.. otherwise, its all mute.

Just for future purpose,if a case is one that needs a DS 230, then the barcoded cover sheet is REQUIRED to be placed infront of the IV documents and mailed to NVC

hi,

Its always better to get advice from folks who have actually gone through the process and not just any vigilante on VJ...anyways you do not need any DS230 for a K1.

I hope you actually mean rebtel call logs because Lagos does NOT accept calling cards of any shape or form. Also scrub the western Union receipts it doesn't build ur case unless of course the beneficiary is a female. I hope you also have lots of pictures showing both of you with family members. Wish you all the best.

My apologies, I meant the barcode for form DS 156. I'm here in Nigeria and the internet connection/speed is fair at best. I've located where to fill those forms out online, but am not able to do so due to the internet browser isn't up to the level that is required to support the documents. I've even gone to internet cafes and have had no luck there. How important is this barcode on the form? I've printed off blank forms of the DS 156 and hand filled them in, as I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
