I am sorry for what you are going through.

After reading all the information, it seems to me that its exactly what my ex wife was doing to me.

The only thing that saved me was going to Iraq. Because I was in Iraq, she couldn't accuse me anymore therefore had no choice but to file a divorce.

She slapped two domestic violence against me with the military police and very insistent on getting her green card. Just before I left for Iraq.

Another thing that saved me was she was on a SOFA stamp and only traveled to Germany. She never touched foot in USA.

Wow... reading all that stuff just hit me hard.

Thank you for serving this great Country, God Bless you, and good luck.

Kelly

Make sure that you are never alone with her (or just her and her friend) and even be leary of taking any phone calls from her without anyone else present.

If you have any of her belongings, I would arrange to drop them off at her place, but do NOT do it alone. Be sure to have someone else with you because you don't want her to falsely accuse you of abuse.

I would file for annulment ASAP or divorce if you can't annul. It looks better for you to initiate the divorce.

It is very good that you got all this on record with USCIS. Don't give in to her mind games. She may come back begging to be with you and things will be different once she figures out that she can't stay. Don't let her manipulate you.

Sorry that this happened...keep us updated on what's going on as your story may help others searching on this topic in the future...

wow, sorry to hear all this. She hired a lawyer on retainer for advise of course. I doubt that her reppresentation will be pro-bono, therefore representation will last only as long as the plantiff can afford to continue. Excellent choice withdrawing the AOS, and another good idea from a fellow writer which was have the marriage annulled based on false pretenses, etc. I agree with most here that USCIS gave her 30 days to pack and im sure eventually they will show her the doorway. I wouldnt worry too much about the rest :) best of Luck the next time around if any :)

I NEED EVERYONE TO HELP ME PLEASE

TO MAKE THE STORY SHORT

MY WIFE CAME HERE ON A FIANCEE VISA AND WE GOT MARRIED AND FILED FOR HER GREEN CARD I-485. SHE TOOK OFF LIVING WITH SOME OTHER GUYS, SO I WITHDREW MY

AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT. USCIS THEN MAILED A LETTER HOME SAYING SHE NEEDS TO DEPART THE US WITHIN 30 DAYS, OR SHE CAN FILE FOR A MOTION OF APPEAL WITHIN 30 DAYS, IT HAS BEEN OVER 30 DAYS AND NOW SHES HIRING A LAWYER AND FILE FOR HER GREEN CARD THROUGH FALSE VAWA. HER LAWYER TOLD HER TO GET SIGNATURES FROM HER FRIENDS SAYING THAT THEY SAW ME ABUSED HER INSTEAD OF A POLICE REPORT. I THEN CONTACTED ICE AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT PLUS THE ADDRESS WHERE SHE LIVES AS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SINCE SHE IS ILLEGAL IN THE US. ALL THEY DID WAS TAKE MY REPORT,AND IM NOT SURE IF THAT'S GOING TO DO ANYTHING. I AM SO WORRIED IF THE SIGNATURES FROM HER FRIENDS SAYING THEY SAW ME ABUSED HER ( WHICH I DID NOT). I ALSO UNDERSTAND IN ORDER TO GET APPROVED FOR VAWA, YOU NEED SOLID PROOF OF ABUSE AND ABLE TO WORK TO SUPPORT YOURSELF, SHE CANNOT WORK ANYTHING SINCE THAT LETTER FROM THE USCIS TELLING HER TO DEPART THE US AND THAT SHE CANNOT WORK ANYMORE. WILL SHE ABLE TO PULL THIS THROUGH AND GET APPROVED FOR VAWA? PLEASE HELP ME

She had 30 days to leave or file. You state that it has been over 30 days and she is now contacting a lawyer. Did this guy file anything yet? Would be interesting to see what happens if she fails to meet this requirement. Times up? Start packing?

Also, as others have stated, do not, do not, do not speak or meet with her unless you have someone else there. And have them take a video during your meeting.

I don't believe this story.

1)How do you know she's filing for VAWA?

2)she came to this country and within 30 days already LIVING with another man???

3) If the two of you were in love and/or you filed for her greencard, why would she go thru VAWA?

Vawa isn't an automatic/quick process, it's a long drawnout and stressful way for greencard. Plus you must have solid proof, not just hear say.

It's either she doesn't know about how hard vawa is to prove and the duration OR she has a valid claim for VAWA.

It would take something significant for someone to just throw away $1070 (since you filed already) AND a quicker, more secure process for greencard.

Again, I really don't think the truth is being told here. Just my opinion.
