Yes, we both had signed copies...he sent his to me UPS express in January. And they were definitely in the packet! I am not so much bothered by that as I am them wanting his passport. The only thing that I can surmise is that because he is a Haitian citizen and a legal resident of Dominican Republic. They must want to see that he was physically in DR during my visits.

I didn't know we had to use blue ink either T_T

Let me restate what I said "I suggest you use blue ink." I used black ink on my forms and with todays computer technology, they might have to look at it under a magnifying glass to make sure it is not a copy. I did use black ink on mine and my I-129F was accepted. I just suggest it is easier for the person that reviews your forms if it is in blue ink. I don't think there is any such requirement though.

I would stay away from manila. don't ever over stay they will treat you like a criminal until you produce a lot of PHP to the Philippine Immigration.

The immigration knew I was staying 2 months at entry but never said anything to me about it, just let me through. I went to Philippine immigration and becuase of staying over 5 days, i had to get an I ACR and pay out the butt for 2 months.

Next time if I ever go back, I want to go to Bacolod, Iloilo, and Cebu... steer clear of Manila. Just so crazy there.

Laugh out loud. They give you a standard 21 days entrance when you arrive. I'd like to know how much money came out of your butt as they are mighty hungry to get cash from people. Thanks for the warning but I've been to Manila twice and I know the routines now. On my second trip, The Marriott met me at the airport and offered to take me but they wanted to charge me 1,700 peso for a Limo, I said no. Then they said we will take you in a car to the hotel for 700 peso... (SHOULDN'T THIS BE FREE ANYWAY FOR $ 200 A NIGHT ??) I walked away saying "any cabbie here will take me for 200 pesos!!!" I walkled over to a cab driver and he took me there for 70 peso's ($ 1.66). I was so happy I tipped him 230 peso's ($ 5.50). I have to fly into Manila everytime I go. It's $ 1,000 cheaper for me to fly to Manila and not Cebu but I just got back from Bohol and Cebu. Cebu airport is nice but Cebu itself is fast like Manila. Bohol is paradise if you stay on Panglo Island on Alona Beach. Stay at the Regents Park Hotel. I stayed at Amorita which is very nice but 4 times the prices as Regents Park. They just left a bad taste in your mouth for Manila. You have to be well read to go into a place like that. You just made a mistake. That's called a stupid tax. I've paid it but in other places for different reasons.

The letter or intent does not have to be "orignal" in any way except for the signatures. The example letter here on VJ is just fine. And the color of the ink does not matter either!

They have color copiers today too.

Resend your letter of intent, an original with both signatures and anything you did not send before. Have a friend whom you trust and is good with forms review your filing.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I know, right? It was never mentioned, so it really surprised me. The RFE requested only the bio page and stamps(which I sent) from mine, but it requested ALL pages of my fiance's passport w/translation. Did they ever explain why you needed the passports? Did you have to have your beneficiary's passport translated? And if so, did you have all pages with text translated or just the bio and intro pages?

I got no RFEs...what i did was I just wrote the date on the back of each photo ( month and year) and everyone's names, and location it was taken ,...and only sent in my (USC) passport copies, they asked for beneficiary's???.....and why does it matter so much on the letter of intent where the date is? geez......picky picky picky.. just make sure you send everything EXACTLY as they ask....

No, it doesn't. We sent one simple letter of intent, signed by both of us.

To whom it may concern,

I, (spouse one's name), and I (spouse two's name), intend to marry each other within the 90 days after (foreign spouse's name) arrives in the United States.

If I only stayed the 38 days, then it would only have to be the 4,000php give or take but because I stayed the 5 days over. 12,000php because I had to pay for the next stage plus an I-ARC card. With that card, I was able to open bank account and get a drivers license.

Oh, at the airport they tried to get me a few times. This was my 5th time there. If you leave the airport and head towards the street then you don't have to pay for one of those airport taxes which jack the price 4 times fold.

A friend met me there and was guiding me because I arrived 8pm. Wasn't good for me to be there by myself. As white as I am with luggage in hand. I was a target for most!

They likely asked the fiancee passport in this case because they meet in a country which was not the home country of fiancee.

We got the same kind of RFE and I always just thought they wanted more prove since we hadn´t known for very long. So we sent them new letters of intents (dated with the current date), 10 more pictures, more tickets of places we have gone to, passport copies (from both) with stamps on them and more airline tickets since we had seen each others while waiting for the K1, and credit card bills showing we had been in same place at the same time. Our lawyer also advised to high light the words or dates with color pen in the documents that we wanted them to notice, and that pictures together with our families would be the best and pictures in front of famous landmarks. 2 weeks later we were approved!

Good luck!

I'm about to be in the same boat. I got an SMS and email saying an RFE is on the way. !@#$%^&*()

I was pretty darned careful about everything I included. The real pain is they could have included the info in the email that's in the letter. Then I could be working on getting whatever they want that I'm lacking. I HATE not knowing what the $%(*) it is that I messed up on.

I'll follow up with more info as I get it.

good luck.

Cebu seems to be a popular place to have fiancee's :)
