:):D OK........This is what happened today. After work I checked my emials..........I got FIVE (5), pyat, cinco, emails from the CSC ( guess they didn't want me to miss them)!!!!!!!!!! I recieved touches on 9-22, and 9-23 and 9-25 and 9-26!!!!!

The snail mail hasn't arrived yet so I will check it then. I am pretty sure that it's the IMBRA RFE because all the paperwork was filled out correctly and checked by my agent. Let's hope there are no surprises!!!!!

I have been repeatedly in my congressman's office. Thankfully, it is only .75 miles from my house!!!!!

After another second generic response from the CSC to my Congressman's aid, I told her that I did not want to wait another 30 days for a response when August applications were being approved.....I gave to her a second set copies from my application. ( I made triplicates of everything)!!!!!!

Because the response said that an officer was reviewing my file. I told my aid that that was not true because if it was, they would see right away that the process cannot continue until I answered those IMBRA questions!!!!!! So now, I wait for the snail mail hardcopy RFE.

Has any other March member's received their RFE's yet?????????????? Please let me know. I am sure that the pressure from the Congressman's office did it. I told her that I thought that my file was lost.......so she continued to write and call them continuously.

I'll keep everyone posted!!!!!!!

Who would think that it would be celebration time after receiving an email about a stinking RFE????????

Mike :lol::P:D:P

It seems crazy to congratulate you on an RFE!! I can't believe you've been waiting all this time for the IMBRA RFE - that's absolutely ridiculous. I would have lost my cool by now.

'E&K' is in the same situation. His NOA1 is 7 March and still no RFE. See: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34882

I look forward to reading future posts from Mr Happy! :)

Congrats~! Now lets all pray for E&K - they have been waiting since March for thier RFE too. Do you think your kind and helpful congressional aid would consider helping someone outside of his own constituancy? Contact E&K if you think there's a chance.

I look forward to reading future posts from Mr Happy! :)

TRUST ME losing my cool did occur many, many times.......I credit this baby step to constant prayer and a few 7 & 7's to mellow me out.......and the hard part hasn't been keeping my cool.....it's been trying to explain to a beautiful wife who has been crying thru her letters to me that she just doesn't understand why?????

What made it absolutely worse, our agent told us back in February that we would be married in 120 days!!!!!!!! If we were told that it would take a year to process........then the let down would not have been that bad!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I didn't know (nor did my agent) about the IMBRA when I sent in my application on March 20th!!!!!!!

I have been pm'ing E& K with some info as well.........Gary........my Congressman's aid DID call your Senator's aid and they DID compare notes and he told her that a phone call to the Congressional Liason was extremely important!!!!!!!! So all you members take note about this........if you are speaking to a Congressional Aid.......ask them to call the Congressional Liason and not just send an Email.......My Congressman's aid told to me that when a phone call is made and a conversation takes place.......IT does get attention FAST!!!! Just look at all my touches after I made contact with my aid.......

So Emma.........make sure your aid calls the Congressional Liason at the CSC.........let me know what happens!!!!!

Kit........thanks for all your information as well and support.....it helped alot

Mike  (a.k.a. Mr. Happy)!!!! :D

Conratulations on that RFE, Mike! It's about darned time!!

Here's hoping that even better news is on its way very, VERY soon! :D

January 2004: Met Laurent at the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris

February 2004: We became an actual couple

January 29th, 2006: I left France to return to the United States--AWFUL to say goodbye!

June 2006: Finally convinced Laurent that a K-1 visa would be more time-effective than trying to get an H-1

August 1st, 2006: The K-1 petition is finally in the mail and on its way to Nebraska...WooHoooo!! And yes, I remembered to attach the check! :-)

August 3rd, 2006: USPS online tracking shows that my petition (sent certified) was received at the NSC at 5:05am

August 14th, 2006: NOA1 received USPS!! (I-129F recv'd at CSC: 8/4; NOA date: 8/10; last touched: 8/11)

October 2nd, 2006: I MISTAKENLY thought we had an approval...False alarm...Back to waiting...

October 3rd, 2006: TOUCHED!!

October 4th, 2006: REALLY AND TRULY APPROVED!!! Email notification lists 10/3 as the NOA2 date.

Later that same day: TOUCHED...AGAIN! Hope that means I'm in a cozy box and moving to NVC this week...

October 10th, 2006: Received official NOA2 via snail mail.

October 19th, 2006: Case received at NVC!! AWESOME!!

October 20th, 2006: Case forwarded to Paris!! DHL says two shipments were headed that way. Must be in there somewhere...

October 27th, 2006: Received official receipt letter from NVC via USPS.
