Hi all VJ's, a friend asked me she has a friend who works in Canada means working visa

for 2 years and she applied for US Visa in USEmbassy Canada and she said she was not denied but rather

add one more year of stay in Canada in order to have a US Visa so this is just simple to cross specifically US as Canada is a neighboring country.

And in contrary a US citizen could hardly get a petition to an immediate relative in his/her own country. It could happen but will take eternity to petition.

Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

I think most people are going to be scratching their heads working out what you are asking.

If it is something to do with the wait for Visitor Visa's compared to Immigrant Visa's, well yes there is a big difference for obvious reasons.

thanks for your reply 'Boiler', Yes it's obvious... the past years my cousin who filed a visitor's visa for leisure no reason to stay in US as she has ties to her country has a big business and properties in her country but she was denied. :hehe:

If from PI, then the biggest problem is all the other people who have strong ties and abused their Visa's, difficult for Consulates to tell one from another.

It's kind of hit-and-miss with visitor visas out of Manila. I know a couple of Pinays that don't have 2 pesos as far as assets are concerned, yet they both have visas. Contrast that to a friend of mine that owns 3 houses there and just bought a 4th place in Batangas well before applying...denied a visa.

The folks that get visas then overstay, that is the real problem.

"The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!" - Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945.
