NVC informed me that the case is "complete" as of yesterday. Then just an hour ago I received the checklist cover letter that requires the beneficiary's Police Certificate (Australia), which I already DID send it to them with the IV package.

I called them and asked about the email/request. They said I need to request the police certificate to be sent directly to the embassy. But then I already included it in the IV package. How can I get it to the embassy? NVC already has it!

So how will the PC get to the embassy?

Thoughts? Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks.

It sounds to me that they sent out the request for the police certificate before they received it so that's why the case is now complete. They wouldn't have completed the case without it, so if they completed it, that means the do have it and will be sent out to the embassy.

The NVC's automated voice system says my case was completed, just two days after they received my IV and AOS packages (I sent those two together). I assuming that you've been calling them to check on the status? You know, I'd rather wait a few more days to get my case complete without any errors, rather than having a 2-day case complete with a request that is just... weird.

Now what worries me is this checklist request for my wife's police certificate. She had lived in Australia for 4 years, that's why we needed the PC from Australia, and we requested it already to include it in our IV package. But now that my case is "complete", they sent this headache email asking for the Australian police certificate to be sent to the embassy, to which the NVC has it.

I suggest you call back once a day, for 5 days, and record the answers.

Take the one answer with 50 percent or more response.

Good Luck !
