Hi! I am worried and confused...

I Had my interview 2 days ago and I just got this email today.

Decision

On February 9, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days

I know that means you are approved, the thing is.... I got a RFE at the interview and I have not sent anything yet so how come I am approved already?? I will still try to get the info they request for just in case but this is just confusing.

The RFE was for something very stupid (I think so!) but the IO said she could not approve me if I did not provide the documents and that at the same time she did not want to deny it for something like this.... I don't understand

Did they tell you to bring the papers back in? Mail them? I would still do as you were instructed, maybe make an Infopass appointment to take in the requested docs and ask about the approval notice coming before you turned in the docs. Maybe the IO decided to approve without whatever it was she said she needed.

Yeah I am still working on getting what they asked for... She told me to mail or fax my new evidence, which I have not done yet of course. I really hope she did change her mind :)
