To Orando: I could not believe my eyes when I read your post. What a small world. I do also live in Florida as well, I filed at about the same time you did, and my wife is also in Barranquilla. I have only done once the Miami-Barranquilla direct flight and it was great. The only problem is that I live so far up north (Jacksonville) that is either a 6 hour drive down to MIA or an extra flight to MIA and they could get really expensive. I heard that Southwest flies from JAX to FLL for a decent fare, but then I thought and what about "once I get to FLL, how do I get to MIA?" ... It seems that there is little to no transportation from one airport to the next (FLL to MIA ... about 30 min-ride) which I find ridiculous. Just sharing my thoughts.

Good luck to you and your wife on this journey. Hit me up with a private message if you wish and maybe I can have my wife meet yours in Barranquilla, so they can share their experiences and encourage each other. Just saying.

Hey Alexander: It is a small world here on VJ...jejejeje...yeah man, FLL has a direct flight to Cartagena on Spirit Airlines, cheap, but I have not done that route yet. Some people meet their babes in Cartagena flying Spirit, I may do that in the future. Yeah, no cheap way to get to Miami with public transportation from FLL, that sucks. I drive from FLL to Miami and park at the airport, $8 a day parking.

I will ask my wife tonight if she would like to connect with your wife, that would be cool for her to chat with someone in the same situation. I am heading to Colombia in April to spend some time with the wife, we are going to Cartagena for the week to chill for a honeymoon of sorts, we wanted to go to San Andres, but the price was a little too much right now. That is my last trip to see her until the visa interview trip to Bogota, God willing.

Best hopes for you and your wife as well. Take care man...

I'm here in Walton County, near Sandestin. We're looking to move after we get married though. A paradise is nice, but not forever.

Hi, how are you? Yes, to live in Florida is like paradise, it never gets cold (almost never). Can I ask where do you plan to move?

Hi! Orlando is a nice city. We just hit it for New Year's eve. We were celebrating New Years on a roller coaster in Sea World. It was exciting!-)) Were thinking to go there again since there are so many places to go there...Is it easy to find a job there?

Yunni. Privet. If you want to meet/talk to many other RW, I suggest you go to www.russianwomendiscussion.com. You will meet a ton of other RW and their husbands who live in Florida as well as other states. And you can talk both in English and Russian.Udachi.

Hi, thanks a lot! I've been looking for such forums but never had luck with them, they were either old and crappy or I had no luck to sign up (for some technical reasons). Will try this one. Thanks!

Hello Yunna,

I was wondering if you are the Yunna I've been trying to look for and wondered what happened to her. Last time she wrote me from our dating agency was on May 14, 2011. I was inactive for awhile and didn't correspond with anyone. As a result the agency deactivated my profile until i recently re-activated.

We dined out once in a Falconi restaurant in Odessa, Ukraine. Please see my profile photo and tell me if you are the one I know. I just want to find out what happen to her. Obviously if you are the one, and you are married I would just wish you the best and have a happy life. But I would be grateful knowing what happen to her.

Hi,my name is Yunna. I am from (Odessa) Ukraine. I got married and moved to the US. I see there are so many people here end everyone is looking for friends to talk because the period of adjustment to a new country is very hard and it's very important to talk to people who can really understand you and your situation. Is there anyone here who moved to Florida, US? And others who just want to talk about the experience of moving abroad and adjusting feel free to add me to your list or start a conversation here in VS.

We're in Tallahassee, FL. I love the town but hate the FL weather. The humidity is a killer and no snow:(

Hi there! Nice to meet you! I just moved here 3 months ago and humidity did not hit me yet, but I know what youre talking about. Wait till summer!))) I love the snow too though but for that were going to visit my husband's family in Utah.))
