What are you trying to imply with this response...exactly?

Vermont should be crime free by your logic, yet it isn't... How odd...

So the punks got lucky, that time.

Why should it be crime free? Is there anywhere that is?

Right. If it doesn't completely eliminate every form of crime forever, then it is not effective.

Actually the bigger issue is your assertion right to carry has anything to do with Vermonts admittedly low (comparatively) but obviously not non-existent crime rate. Other states don't show the same results, and you have absolutely nothing to back your claim.

This story had a great ending, and a firearm likely helped this gal. Again your cause and effect assertion is boundless since nobody can know if these punks would have run regardless.

1. What other states?

2. What else can it be?

3, What does "low (comparatively)" mean? It is low. Not comparatively. Just low.

Simple question. I assign a cause and affect. You disagree with it. Please assign another cause and affect. There IS a reason Vermont's crime is low, if it is NOT because we are the ONLY state that has never restricted ANYONE from carrying concealed firearms...what is it?

You assume a cause and effect. Vermont is not unique in it's gun laws, so why don't all states with similar gun laws share Vermonts results in terms of lower crime rates? Hint: Because your assumption is baseless.

Really?

The phrase "post hoc ergo propter hoc" does come to mind.

Really?

Yes really but beside the point unless you wish to argue technical minutia.

Let's discuss cause and effect shall we?

If you jump into the air you fall back down. Cause of falling back down, gravity. This is as true in Vermont as it is in Texas, or any other state, in fact is true everywhere, But the effect is not true in Vermont due to concealed carry. Cause and effect are linked scientifically by gravitational theory.

Fact is Vermont has a low crime rate. Fact is Vermont has concealed carry. Gary repeatedly links these two facts, yet there is in fact nothing to support his assertion. Other states have concealed carry yet don't share the low crime rate, thus we can conclude with scientific certainty Gary's theory is merely wishful thinking and demonstrably flawed.

I generally agree with you but Vermont is the only state that allows it without a permit. Does this in and of itself make a difference?

I don't know, there isn't enough data.
