Hey guys, I am new here. I found this source 2 1/2 years ago but didn't sign up until I actually filled. I searched for this question but could find a direct answer. I just sent my packet in yesterday 2/8/12 and am now going through my head thinking about stuff i may have forgot even though I checked it 50 million times. Well I discovered 2 things. First, my dad is not on my birth certificte, however I have listed him as my parent on the g-235a, what is the impact of this? Will I need to get an affadavit? I'm freaking out, I want to plan ahead in case I get a RFE. Second, on the supplement for question 18, I listed one of my trips twice and counted the total trips as 10 instead of 9. Biggie or not? Thanks in advance for input.

Birth certificate is not an issue, you provide that to prove you are a US citizen. You are a US citizen by birth (I assume) and that is the reason for attaching it. Nothing else.

You are only required to describe ONE meeting in person within 2 years prior to filing the petition. It will not matter if you met 9 times instead of 10 times. I answered question 18 with two sentences in the space provided and that was probably 1 sentence more than needed.

Let me suggest something else to you...the time to go through this in your head is BEFORE you send it. Once you send it, turn around and face forward. Put that stuff in a safe place and do not look at it again unless you get an RFE. If there is anything wrong with it, they will tell you and you will correct it. Nothing to look back at. Nothing to worry about. Look ahead and begin preparing what you need for the interview and for your new life which will come soon enough

Gary and Alla, thanks for replying, you are correct, nothing to worry about now, just look forward. I am a details person so it really peeved me when I realized that I didn't notice these before. Thanks again for your supportive words. Good luck to you and yours.
