Have you turned on the heat yet?

I couldn't take it anymore and just turned the heat on in my house. It's in the mid-fifties outside I think and it's about 60ish in here but my tootsies are cold!!

The house smells like that smell you get when you turn the heat on for the first time. Wonder what the oil bill will be like this year. Last year it was around $700 a whack but prices have gone down since then I think.

They turned the heat on here last week when temps dipped below freezing at night. Thank God it's covered in our rental agreement. Only have to pay for the a/c

One day its 78 next day its 65, a/c on, a/c off. Heat on/heat off. It goes this way here in Utah for quite a while, and I don't like to feel the least bit uncomfortable.

California is the same thing, yesterday it rained, today its nice and tomorrow is gonna be crappy again.

I have all the windows open and told my inlaws who aren't used to the cold at all to put their sweaters on.

ETA: It is 56 out right now, going down to 51 tonight. Very pleasant!

Oh my! My parents are in their mid 70's and they are cold when it's in the 90's! Older folk need it warmer for their bones! I hope you close those windows!

Normally around here I don't run the heat to January. I agree with Gupt, if you are cold 1 and a half weeks into Fall put on a sweater or jacket. We haven't had frost yet.

Wow you guys turn on the A/C when it's 78 out? 78 is nice weather, open a window and turn on a fan. Unless ya'll are made of money
