No, no RFE's every time I would call they would say your case is pending under background check:(

They send me a letter lease week after my service request saying:

"Your case is still pending. This notice acknowledges receipt of your status inquiry concerning an I-130 petition. We recognize your interest in a final adjudication on your pending petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in an expeditious fashion as soon as available under our resource constraints."

please any advice will help!

Pray for me :(

Our NOA1 is July 19th. We called CSC two days ago, they said they're currently processing July 12th-ish, so ours would likely to be done sometime next week. /fingers crossed.

They've been saying they're processing July 12th since I called them several weeks ago... I wouldn't take that date very seriously. Four weeks ago they told me I should get a response within 30 days, and needless to say, not a peep from them. I'm a July 15th filer.

I get the impression that the people answering the phones at that 1-800 number do not get regular updates from CSC. I've actually tried to pry that information out of them, but they seem baffled by my question.

Are you a US Citizen? Born in the US or Naturalized?

You are the petitioner right? Are you the husband or the wife?

It is my understanding that the USCIS phase is mostly to vet the petitioner by checking them against various databases. It is possible your name generated a hit on one of these databases and they couldn't clear it using their typical methods. This would be similar to the AP that many males from Middle-Eastern countries have to go through after their interview at the consulate.

This is just a guess and should not be considered fact.

I have been waiting nearly 200 days now to hear back from USCIS so I can understand to a degree how frustrating this must be for you and your spouse. I think the worst part is not knowing why they are taking so long.

Have you tried contacting your Congressman to ask for assistance?

I hope you get your NOA2 approval soon and best of luck to you and your spouse.

Never thought to try that... a receipt number three less than mine (2581, mine is 2584) got approved February 1. #2589 got approved January 27, #2590 on January 31.

July 18 NOA1 for us and no progress.

Incidentally the last four digits of our receipt number ends in the 1480s. I am confused as to how those with a similar NOA1 date have a receipt number one thousand higher. Perhaps it is because I have a stepson abd a separate petition for him.

I've given up applying reason to any part of this process. I'm so discouraged.

I started looking to see when the case numbers were approved with more then just two in a row .........495 cases away from mine, all the dates were the same 8.9.11. I saw a few quick one's between & some 129f's thrown in as well. Looks like CSC is still working on I-129f's & I sent one of those too but my number got skipped !! Neither one have been "touched" by anyone at CSC......

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to avoid being obsessed with getting that NOA2 every moment I'm awake? I feel like I was perfectly patient for the first five months, mildly upset during the sixth month, and now that it's seven months, I can't think of anything else. I feel like I'm going insane.

Have you tried contacting your Congressman's office to have their Immigration Liason check on your case? I contacted mine at the 5 month mark and they told me to contact them again in the middle of February if I still hadn't heard anything. I will be contacting them once I get back in the US next week if I still haven't received a reply from USCIS.

My NOA1 date is 7/28 and I'm still waiting as well. I check the USCIS site at least 3x a day.

I wonder if the 5 month goal is really viable anymore. As of 8/15/11 many overseas consulates and embassies no longer offer Direct Consular Filing. This means more petitions are being sent to USCIS and in most cases these petitions are processed within a few weeks. This means that those of us who don't qualify for this elevated status get to wait even longer. :bonk:
