We got the text/email letting us know that our EAD was in Production. However, even though we filed for AP at the same time,there is nothing about that. Normal,or not?

03/02/2011 - Check cashed
03/16/2011 - Received NOA 1
06/02/2011 - RFE
06/12/2011 - RFE returned
06/20/2011 - Received NOA 2
07/08/2011 - NVC Sent to Embassy
08/08/2011 - Packet 3
08/15/2011 - Packet 4
10/21/2011 - Interview - APPROVED
11/16/2011 - POE - Port Huron
12/03/2011 - Marriage!

12/14/2011 - AOS Packet Delivered to Chicago Lockbox per USPS

You won't get a separate notice about AP because it's on the same card as EAD. Yes, normal.

That's correct. The approval came via text/email. I found out the card was in production the same day by going on the USCIS website.

Yes in time for my trip... what a relief that is! We just got an email last night saying it was mailed yesterday!! woohoo!!! :dance:

All my notices quoted the EAD only in the emails about production and mailing date. The only mention of the AP was that it was approved. We assumed because they are both included on the card we won't get a mailing notice specifically for it.
