Great news.I will call them next week to see if mine is gone yet.I just requested for my 2011 tax transcripts.I should receive it in about 10 days. With that, I will have all my tax docs since 2007.I have requested my bank to send me a letter regarding my bank account and my Human Resource department will be generating the letter showing my start date, salary etc on March 15th.

They are.I went online today and requested it and they said I should receive it in about 5-10 business days.Keep in mind I filed my taxes late last month and have received both federal and state refunds.I actually got the federal refund today which is what prompted me to request the transcripts again.

not yet. we have a very complicated tax situation which takes a long time to file because we need lots of other documents from different financial organization. also because its complicated, we cant use turbo tax or any other online tax filling system. i wonder if we will have our 2011 tax transcript by my interview date. do you think they will ask for the 2011 tax transcript at my April 30th interview? i have all the previous transcripts. i hope not.

Just take what you have. Its not like you can do anything about not having the 2011 transcripts anyway. If you have her w-2 for 2011 and maybe her pay stubs take those and maybe explain her tax situation if they ask at the interview. They will see from your previous transcripts when you file and hopefully they will understand that it takes time for all the documents together. Also once you file and its approved it doesnt take long before you get the transcripts. It took me 2 weeks to get my taxes approved and get the refund.in another week or so I should get the transcripts so I would say overall about a month after you file so long as its been accepted by the feds.

yeah thats what i thought of doing - explaining to the CO the situation. but as you know those guys have no patient for things like these. i have had 2 interview in this embassy (on both occasions i was granted my visa) and i know how they act when someone doesn't have a document or doesn't know what something is. well we are trying really hard to get everything done by end of March. it will suck if i am asked to come back later with them especially knowing the backlog at the embassy.
