Hi,

as the title suggests, my Fiance sent the form and everything with it last Tuesday to the Dallas lockbox, was told by the lady that it would arrive in Dallas by Thursday 2nd. She hasnt received an NOA1 yet and am getting a little nervous as my I want everything approved and done so i can move August 1st if possible.

I have noticed one possible issue... she didnt clip the G-1145a form to the top of the pack, it was about 4 pages down. But still, she hasnt received anything in the mail yet either. Im getting worried...

In the future, always request signature required receipt on all correspondance. This way you get piece of mind it arrived. My NAO1 came in the mail about two weeks after my Text/email came in.

It's way too soon to worry yet. Also just a bit of advice, like the otehr poster said the Email/text and website update are hit and miss.

Even when they have received it you're in for a little wait. Receiving doesn't mean it's been processed yet.

Calling USCIS, they may tell you to give it 30 days so on behalf of what you'll get told anyways, wait 30 days and then call USCIS if you haven't heard anything before then. But you probably will get it sooner than that :)

If you mailed it USPS it takes longer for them to receive it, unless you did Express Mail. If you used UPS or FEDEX with tracking and requiring a signature you know when USCIS received it and there is less worry.
