Does anyone know or have experience getting a notarized letter in Cambodia for Khmer people? My fiance is writing a letter for me in English and needs to be notarized or certified. I am not sure which is the right term.

Maybe I dont understand exactly..but if it is a letter, it remains simply that..a letter. If it were an Official Document,

then notarization or Certification would be required in most instances, and if needed, it would need to be translated by a Certified Agency, or the MFA if it were in Khmer.

However, a letter is simply personal proof of correspondence, not an official document, and not require such effort, unless someone knows otherwise.

Me and my wife have sent emails, letters, snd other such proof of correspondence, and never asked, nor have I ever heard of a personal letter requiring such.

At the interview they may ask her to read it, and prove she can read and write English, and ask her what she wrote if she truly did...that is what the interview is for.

But unless someone who has ever done a K1 as I assume you are doing has ever been asked to have it notarized, I have never heard of such a thing for a personal letter.

That is my take on it, and if it is required, or you were told it was, I am unaware of such a thing. Best wishes to you, and your Future Propun.
