Medical /Document Intake and Interview Experience

My wife and I went to the Guangzhou Health Clinic on the Island on Feb 2nd, we arrived at 8:30 and there was about 200 people (maybe due to the removal of the other place on the approved list) she went into several lines and finished around 11:30. We came back for the results at 14:00 after walking around eating dimsum on other side of main road and having coffee at the nearby Starbucks on the island.

The total fee was 1340 RMB for medical + the 4 vaccinations for a CR1

(they require 5 photos now, 4 for medical 1 for vaccinations) luckily we had 8 photos ready.

The facility is closing and moving February 10th, but no idea what new address will be.

she got the sealed envelope / Xray CD-ROM / yellow vaccine book.

Now on Document Intake on February 7th. We got in the line around 11:30 and she still ended up being in roughly the middle of the group. they had about 200 again.

when she got the the window. they only asked 1 question "Have you been married before?" she said no and that was it. and they just opened the sealed medical envelope and took the results. they took nothing else (did not even ask for tax / photos / white books or anything else.)

Actually they then returned to my wife, a rubber banded bundle consisting of a mixture of photos/emails/receipts from my front-load from the I-130 and DS-230 to her and said nothing else.

She got a 1000 number and no green sticker, probably was last in document intake and she was out around 15:30.

Next day we go to interview at 7:00 and waited in line, since she did not have a green sticker, she was last line called.

She got to the window. It was a caucasian VO at Window 23

VO said Ni Hao to her

VO said if she have trouble understanding just remind and VO said he will repeat in chinese.

He saw my passport, and just asked if he is here in China?

My Wife said yes he is outside.

He did not ask for any photos or any items from our case box.

He ask the following questions.

when did you both first meet?

what does he do at work?

where does he work?

and then said visa is approved.

that was it.

Unfortunately my wife forgot to take out the 3rd sheet of the EMS form, but luckily I had recorded the EMS label number after document intake.

Only collections was

medical results envelope for entire process.

and dumping some of the front-load items back at my wife during document intake.

March 17, 2012: Received SSN card.
April 5, 2012: 2-yr Green Card in hand

December 15, 2013: I-751 mailed to USCIS

June 9, 2014: ROC Approved per I-797C received 6-13-2014

June 17, 2014: New 10-yr Green Card in hand!

March 29, 2017:  N-400 mailed to USCIS
March 31, 2017: N-400 Received by USCIS per I-797C
April 27, 2017:  Biometrics completed
September 23, 2017:  Received I-797C for interview!

October 24, 2017:  Interview, passed all tests but "decision cannot yet be made"

October 30, 2017:  Received email that Oath ceremony has been scheduled, letter to follow with date and other info. 

                                  USCIS case status updated w/same message as email.

November 2, 2017:  Oath ceremony letter received scheduled for Nov. 7, 2017.

November 7, 2017:  Oath Ceremony, Certificate of U.S. Naturalization in hand!!!

Hey excellent news! For closure, finding out exact status -

call the DoS Hotline on yer Thursday night, circa 11 PM (# and method in my profile) and inquire for casefile status.

I'm praying is no AP or other issues, you'll know for certain with a Call into DoS Hotline.

RE: EMS # - usually EMS updates their online tracking system thingie after it's received, the day AFTER, so if yer tracking it online and see it delivered - that's a good sign.

Congratulations, hopefully they do not notice she did not sign the DS-230. I've never heard of that or very few not asking if she is CCP?

09/22/09: NOA2

10/05/09: Received case# and gave emails

10/07/09: Received DS-3032 and AOS email

10/09/09: Sent DS-3032 email to optin electronic filing

10/15/09: Paid both AOS & IV fees

10/16/09: Received email electronic filing accepted

10/18/09: Sent AOS via email

10/23/09: Received email that AOS was accepted and waiting for IV

10/27/09: Sent IV via email

11/10/09: Signon to payment failure

11/19/09: Received email for interview - December 14th

12/14/09: Approved for Visa

12/16/09: Received Visa

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

one more update.

She signed no papers and VO did not have her sign or touch the DS-230 part II

weird - we've had some reports of this [no signing of ds-230] , the last few IR-1 / CR-1 interviews - but those were EP cases.
