Now you are trying to sidestep the issue. Not only did you give advice which is based upon nothing, and is wrong, but you can't even remember what you said. You did a lot more than "suggest he cover all ends." You said the embassy "needs" a tax transcript. Since you don't remember what you said I'll repost it for you:

Call IRS for the 2010 tax transcript. They need that too.

The USEM does not require K-1ers to submit tax transcripts. I provided you with the link to the instructions the USEM sends to every K-1er, so you have no excuses for continued ignorance.

Your interview is in March so they know you would not be able to get tax transcript for 2011 yet. 2010 would still be considered most recent. Therefore whatever you have for 2010 make sure you get the transcript as well. Make sure you explain that 2011 transcript is not yet available, unless you can get it... then do so. Do not forget W2's for both 2010 & 2011.

You don't need the transcript and the copy of the return . It's either or. They both have the same information. You already have your 2010 1040. I would get transcripts from 2009 2008 for backup.

I thought you said they don't need tax transcripts. I believe they do!

The Tax Transcript is a govt issued summary of all the information that was filled on your 1040. You can submit either or to the Embassy. If you have your 1040 submit it. If not order a copy of your transcript. It is an either or situation not a both. I don't know why he keeps saying that. .

Tax transcripts are acceptable as long as you submit the income tax return with it.

You said the USEM "needs" tax transcripts. They don't. Why do you keep insisting that they need transcripts? I'm still waiting for your link which backs up your misguided opinion.

Where have I said the USEM "needs" or "requires" tax transcripts? I certainly didn't say anything like that where you quoted me.

Despite all the evidence to the contrary, I see you're still clinging to your unfounded opinion that the USEM is wrong and that you're right!

I'll bet Stangman and the other VJers who were issued an MNL-IV-22 by the consular officer for not submitting a tax return wish they had followed the Embassy's instructions.

If your interview is scheduled after April 17, I would recommend submitting tax returns and W-2's from 2010 and 2011, as well as current paycheck stubs. I would also include a tax transcript for 2010. An employer's letter would be good also.

Why would any sane individual submit a Tax transcript and return for the same year. They both contain the same info. You have spent the last three weeks of your life screaming that the USEM would not allow Tax Transcripts now your telling someone to submit them in addition to the 1040. If USEM does not recognize them then why bother ??? Dude you need to stop putting out this bad info to people. The process is stressful enough anyway, without people like you trying to confuse people with bad info.

Tax transcripts are not required for K-1ers at the U.S. Embassy Manila...my link.

********************************************************

You must bring the following documentation when you come to the Embassy for your interview:

...

~ snip ~

...

m. EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner's ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner's most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

And only the most recent year (1040) is requested. Don't know where this tax transcripts and 3 years of return BS got started.

Once again, you're wrong. No surprise there. Tax transcripts and tax returns don't necessarily contain "the same info." Please do your homework before you post your usual bogus information.

And you're also wrong about me saying that "the USEM would not allow tax transcripts." Where did I say that? For that matter, where did I say that the USEM "does not recognize them?" You have a serious reading comprehension problem.

Not only are you putting out bad info, you fail to provide even a single coherent response to those who correct you, and back up their claims in doing so. I'm still waiting for your links to back up any of your baseless opinions. :clock: Where are your links?
