Hello everyone. My fiance(e) is scheduled for her interview on March 6, 2012. For her affidavit of support? The only tax file I have is for year 2010 of my 1040 filing. I have not file my 2011 yet? Should one be good enough to present during her interview process?? Also, I saved all my Leave Earning Statement or Pay Stubs as proof of my income. Help will be greatly appreciated.

Documents Provided

1) 1040 tax return for 2010 only

2) 5 Recent Pay Stubs( Leave Earning Statement)

3) Thrift Savings Plan (Statement)

4) 2 Recent month bank Statement Copy.

You should consider providing tax transcripts for several years. Contact the IRS for details, or read other recent similar posts. Should one be good enough to present during her interview process?? Maybe, the more the better. Also, I saved all my Leave Earning Statement or Pay Stubs as proof of my income. Help will be greatly appreciated.

Call IRS for the 2010 tax transcript. They need that too.

Tax transcripts are not required for K-1ers at the U.S. Embassy Manila...my link.

You must bring the following documentation when you come to the Embassy for your interview:

...

~ snip ~

...

m. EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

so transcript for 2010 and form 1040 for 2011 is good enough if ur interview schedule is after april 17? thanks...

Your interview is in March so they know you would not be able to get tax transcript for 2011 yet. 2010 would still be considered most recent. Therefore whatever you have for 2010 make sure you get the transcript as well. Make sure you explain that 2011 is not yet available, unless you can get it... then do so.

You only need 1 year of income tax info, 2010 is sufficient. After April 17th, the most recent returns will be 2011 returns.

If your interview is scheduled after April 17, I would recommend submitting tax returns and W-2's from 2010 and 2011, as well as current paycheck stubs. I would also include a tax transcript for 2010. An employer's letter would be good also.

You thought right, I said tax transcripts are not required, and they aren't. If you believe they do need tax transcripts, would you please provide a link which supports your claim.

Please learn to read. I did not say it is "required." I said that "I would include it."

I'm still waiting for you to post the link which backs your claim. You have one don't you?
