Hi everyone- need some help with what fee need to be submitted with packet 3 in Thailand. Packet 3 instructions say $131 needs to be payed and reciept submitted, but packet 4 says $100. Additionally it says it should be payed at the Thai post. My fiancée went to the post at her town in rual ubon, and did not know anything about it, and should pay at embassy or go to a post in larger city, ubon ratchathani. Anyone have advice on $$ amount and where should be paid and when have to submit receipt...packet 3 or 4( at embassy). Much appreciated!?

$350.00 USD If she goes to the Thai Post and tells them that she wants to pay the fee for K-1 Visa Application they should know, if not then I would just have her try to find one that does but the fee is $350.00 USD not $131

That's right! From where I live, pay at post for the US Embassy K1 visa is not available, so, I had to find the closest proximity. SO I took a day off from work and went off to Bangkok and did the payment of the visa, and of course, since I live far, I see to it that I would maximize my time. Right there and then, I sent my packet 3 back to the Embassy (the same day I paid for my visa fee).

There are 250 'pay at post' post offices nationwide. Hopefully there is one close to her. We just paid and it was $350 USD as others have mentioned.

Thanks every one for your replays. Any idea on how to find a list of the 250 Thai posts that you can pay thevfeevat? She will have to obviously get to a bigger city to do this.

Kflyco, have you done the medical and police report yet? You will have to go to Bangkok for the police report so if you are there may as well find the closet post office. Or you can try the phone number or email listed on Thailand's post office website. Good luck. http://www.thailandpost.com/service-detail.php?sid=45&service=174

Edit: You can pay the fee at any post office in Bangkok.

Thanks everyone! Ended up having a friend in Bangkok area pay the fee. Key lesson learned is not all post offices have the pay@post service, especially those in rual areas. Packet 3 says it can be paid at ANY post, but apparently only true for those in urban areas.

So what's the k1 visa packet 3 fee really? In the packet 3 instructions, it says the equivalent of $141 US. Then my fiancee just went to a post office in Bangkok and they wanted her to pay $240. I'm sensing sleaziness going on here.

I read up there $350?? Where are you getting these amounts? the k1 129f fee was around $340 US, which I paid here in the US.

It was $350. They reduced the fee amount now to $240, the $141on the packet 3 is very outdated.
