My husband and I have our AOS Interview on thursday the 9th in Durham, North Carolina, and I am beyond myself, I am the principal Applicant, I came to the USA with a K1 Visa and got married on August 2011, When I submitted my AOS Application I submitted a criminal Record, showing I was arrested in 2007 while I had my tourist visa for a intoxicated in public. No charges were filed, I sent the original copy of the record with my AOS package and I kept a copy, When I received the AOS Interview letter about 3 weeks ago, There was a letter saying that IF I have ever been arrested I need to bring the original Record showing that no charges were made, I requested another record from California, I am in North Carolina now, and they took forever,I finally receive I letter from the record in California's office and they said they needed my Social security number to proceed to send me the record, There is no way I will be able to send my social security number in the mail, they wont do it over the phone in time for my interview on Thursday! Am I in trouble?? I do have a copy I kept when I sent the inial AOS package and I have the rejection letter from the record office! Any suggestion anyone?? Thank you so much!!

You said that you already sent the original to them? they should still have that in your file then. I think the interview letter that they send out is fairly generic. It said on my interview letter as well that if i've ever been arrested then i need to bring original documents etc but i've never been arrested and they know that.

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

Just bring your copy, explain you sent them the original(copy) with AOS. They're probably just verifying its authenticity by asking you to bring the original to see if theirs match. It's a different matter if you wanted the original back.

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days
