Please advise based on your experiences... Thanks

Topic of heated debate in the Philippine forum. Tax Transcripts are fine and I know many many who have used them. I am not aware of anyone who has ever been turned down for them. However the website for USEM does say Tax Return but by that, it is my opinion they also mean transcript.

Some guy Filled out his I-134, and claimed to meet the minimum guidelines, but his 2010 Tax Transcript did not support those figures. He got put on hold and was asked to furnish his 2011 tax return, to support his claim. Somehow that got twisted into he got denied for having a transcript instead of return by some that don't understand the process.

My experience. I was there at my wife's interview. I only provided the W-2's 08, 09 and 10. The Filipino CO stated " Where is the 1040 filings. I stated " I did not know you needed the 1040 filings.". She told us it will be up to the American CO if they will approve you without those forms. We went to the American CO and he did not even ask about the 1040 filings. We were approved.

Now I strong advise having the W-2 and 1040 filings or Tax Transcripts. We were either lucky or because I made 7x the poverty line. Again I would advise having your 1040 filing in the supporting documents for Affidavit of support.

God Bless and Good Luck!!!

Yet again, you are spreading misinformation. You know very well that Stangman was not asked to submit 2011 tax return. The MNL-IV-22 (221g) the CO gave him specifically required him to submit a 2010 tax return, and you know that he decided on his own to submit a 2011 tax return. You also know that they didn't even accept his transcript nor look at his income. So why are you spreading your misinformation? :bonk:

Here's exactly what Stangman said to you:

"Sorry, correct me if I'm wrong but were you there at the interview?"

"They didn't even look at the income, I stated that is my concern yes, but they didn't even look at it - the particular CO we had DID NOT ACCEPT THE TAX TRANSCRIPT OR MY W2. I provided 2007 to 2010 W2s and Tax Transcripts. Did I make a mistake? Yes, I should have included the Form 1040's, but actually I think my case was a special blessing in disguise."

"IF they denied based on income, then my 221g WOULD HAVE SAID SO. PERIOD. But it doesn't, it says 2010 W2 (which she had with her) and 2010 Income Tax Return needed. Why would they ask for the stuff if they know it wasn't sufficient?"

Plain and simple...you clearly the one doing the twisting...and you certainly don't understand the process, nor the English language for that matter.

And you left of the part in which he said he did not meet the basic requirements on his 2010 Income Tax Transcipt, but did on his 11. Geezh dude you can't be this dumb on purpose.

This is probably the second most debated topic just behind the age difference issue.

Because of that I chose to throw the book at them (1040's and transcripts). Transcripts are so easy to get and my income is multiple times poverty. I even rushed my 2011 filing to send that 1040 too. I am also sending an employer letter with all the W-2's. I am covering 2011,2010,209. No, I am not sending transcripts for 2011 because they are not ready yet. I just want to make sure we don't have to come back with anything.

Our interview is in less than 7 days.

Thank you all. I have employment letter showing $60, 000 a year. I also have 5 last pay stub and my W2 and 1040 of year 2009, 2010, 2011. I will submit these document and let you know if it worked. What I learned is that the CO want to see if you make above the poverty line. I learned that the most important document is the current employment document (employment letter, paystub and current W2) again thank you all for your input...

It will be fine. If there are no red flags it will be a short sweet interview.

You Might want to include more than the last 5 paystubs. You get Paid Bi-weekly or weekly.I hear where they ask for the last 3 to 6 mths of Stubs? Good Luck!

You definitely have a reading comprehension problem. Stangman clearly stated that they didn't look at his income. Since they didn't look at his income, please explain how the Embassy determined that his income was a factor.

Also, Stangman clearly stated that the Embassy didn't ask for any 2011 documents on the MNL-IV-22 (221g). How do you explain that? You do know what an MNL-IV-22 is, don't you?

Without entering the debate; here was our experience. We had the last two years of transcripts. We also included a letter from my employer and bank account info.

The Filipino interviewer looked at the transcripts and nothing else. We had no problem at all. This is in no way a guarantee of what will happen for you. Just giving you our experience.

Good luck.

I know. The majority of people use them. Some guy turned in a transcript that did not support the minimum guidelines, he claimed on his I-134, and that got morphed into he got turned down for having a transcript. Tahoma is like a liberal. He just doesn't ever give up no mater how much evidence is put forth he is wrong.

Snip"

Hre is the truth and what he said in his intial post--"

"""Stangman--Im concerned because I did not make enough in 2010, but I did in 2011. I just submitted my 2011 taxes and gave her both 2010 and 2011 Tax Return and W2s. Praying they will accept this now... "

He got put on hold because his 2010 Tax Transcipt showed he did not meet the basic requirements. He submitted a 134 with a 2010 transcipt that did not show he made the basic requirements for income.

These are the facts. So you are saying that if he had a actual 1040 that showed he made less than the minimum requirements he would have been fine.

Where do you get this stuff?

The vast majority of K-1ers at the USEM do not use tax transcripts. The vast majority of them follow USEM directions and use tax returns.

Also, once again, Stangman did not "turn in a transcript." He said so himself. So, why do you keep saying he did?

You don't ever give up no matter how many times it's pointed out to you that you have a serious reading comprehension problem, no matter how many times you misquote people, no matter how many times you get the basic facts wrong, and no matter how many relevant links are provided to back up a claim. It's one thing to be ignorant. It's an entirely different matter to be willfully ignorant.

Once again, you're side-stepping the issue and you're giving out misinformation. The USEM didn't look at Stangman's 2010 tax transcript and they never allowed him to submit it. These are the facts. Stangman himself said so. Why do you continue to post your misinformation?

I noticed you are continuing to avoid the fact that Stangman isn't alone here on VJ in being required to submit a tax return. He's not the first and likely won't be the last. Your continued bleatings about tax transcripts not only flies in the face of USEM directions, but also is doing a disservice to those who follow in Stangman's footsteps.
