I used a copy of my current mortgage statement to show how much I owe.

I used a copy of my county tax statement to show how much the house is worth.

Subratct what I owe from what it would sell for to determine "equity". Equity is the asset. Document it as thoroughly as possible.

NOTE: some houses may sell for more than their county tax valuation. In that case, you can use an appraisal or a valuation from a Real Estate Agent.

You need a copy of his mortgage statement from his bank if he's still paying off a mortgage. You also need a copy of a VALUATION of the house, since real estate can only be used for this purpose if you plan to actually sell it.

If it's the house he currently lives in, I'm not sure he can use it.

thank you so much guys...he made just $28.000 last year and the poverty limit was $29.250 , but this year he allready made $35.000 proving with paystubs...so the diference its only $1250.Thats why we have to use the assets.

If his CURRENT income is adequate, he qualifies.
