Olympics.....NL Curling team going for the Gold today!!

Hey what can I say....I'm a proud Canadian Newfoundlander!!! The Olympic Canadian Curling team (the team is from my beautiful home :dance:) is playing for the GOLD/SILVER today at 1:00 pm (my time ;) against Finland (don't get the teams mixed up :P ......I've been asked if I was from Finland before because of the way people prounce Newfoundland. Just say ......"Understand Newfoundland".........it rhymes!! History lesson for the day).They will definitely get the SILVER but hoping for the GOLD :thumbs: !!!

As a matter of fact..we're so proud that all the schools in Newfoundland (don't ask how many......all I know is the population is approx 556,000......... a little over 1/2 a million :P ). Anyway, as I was saying......ALL the schools are closing at 11:30 today so everybody can have the opportunity to watch the game. Work places are setting up meeting rooms, etc to watch it!!! And there's also quite a few who are taking the afternoon off!!!.......That's what you would call 'true blue'!!

There's gonna be a party tonight I can guarentee (probably long before the night sets in!!)! The ROCK is gonna rock!! :dance: (for those of you who don't know...Newfoundland & Labrador is called the ROCK because we are an Island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean :dancing:

June 25, 2004 - Bruce & I met through mutual friends in my hometown in Newfoundland the night before he was going back to Maine

July 1 - First email between us

July 3 - I called him to wish him a Happy Independance Day

Daily phone calls and emails from there on in

October 20 - Bruce drove back to Newfoundland. He planned on staying a week but it ended up being 3 weeks. We knew for a fact we were in love!

March 19/05 - Bruce back in Newfoundland

April 8 - Bruce picked me up in North Sydney, NS and we drove to Maine. I stayed for a week due to work

July 26 - Bruce back to Newfoundland for another 3 weeks. I can't bear to see him leave.

August 10 - He asked me to marry him.........I had already asked him anyway just to make sure*_*

September 30 - I flew to Boston to meet Bruce there and then we drove back to Maine for 2 weeks

November 18 - We filed I-129F

December 1 - NOA Receipt #

December 28 - Received Packet 3

January 6/06 - Received my Police Certificate of Conduct

January 11 - Sent DS-230 Part 1 back to Montreal Consulate

February 3 - Sent off my check list to Montreal Consulate

March 24 - Medical

April 5 - Interview Date.....APPROVED......Yahoo

April 17 - Moving to Maine

May 16 - Bruce & I became Mr. & Mrs. in Las Vegas (Oh HAPPY DAY)

Nice to see the US men win the bronze. Firts curling medal for the US. Supposely the big guy (Bush) was watching - good to hear he's doing something useful for once ;)

HAHAHAHAHA! I love it. Yes, it's an accomplishment for this President to sit on his ### & watch TV.

I love to kid curling, because it's not exactly an athletic pursuit, but it is no doubt challenging & requiring skill. Congrats for the US bronze and GL to our neighbors up north going for gold!

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Is it cold in here, or is it just me?

Curling fans were "treated" to an unexpected visitor...visitors?...during Friday's bronze medal match.

Pinerolo Palaghiaccio, about an hour outside of Torino, was rocking for today's bronze medal match between the U.S. and Great Britian. Even IOC President Jacques Rogge was in the packed house.

Any doubt that curling has arrived was removed when the event was interrupted by a streaker.

During the fifth end break (curling's version of halftime and/or a seventh inning stretch), a large and not-too-muscular guy ran out across the sheet. Nothing on except for the obligatory online gambling ad and a strategically-wrapped rubber chicken.

USA skip Pete Fenson had a chuckle, and so did Rogge. Less amused was chief referee Keith Wendorf, who tackled the offender.

An umpire mercifully covered him with a coat and he was led out of the arena by the Italian polizia.

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)
