I can only speak from my own experience, but the only thing I brought and told him about were my vaccination records (thankfully up to date on everything, so no extra costs for that).

He/she will ask you some questions about your medical history, medical history of your family (does anyone have cancer, diabetes, heart disease etc), some questions about your mental health, use of alcohol/drugs...

My medical was over in 20 minutes or so... so it's nothing to drive yourself crazy for...

Well only take ur immunization card...an the doctor with know wat to test for cause they have d medical form in d office(i-693) an d cost depends on how much shots u need...an make sure when he gives it back its in a seal envelope u cant open it r else immigration is not goin to accept it

The place I went(ProMed) has a lot of experience on immigration exam. As matter of fact the day I went in there were 3 more people waiting for immigration exam as well.

I printed out my own form with basic stuff printed on. So I just handed out my form and told them I need 'immigration exam.' Since I had no immunization record I had to do EVERYTHING and get all shots including flu shot.(It was flu season and during flu season, flu shot was mandatory.) They recommanded to go to health department for shots since it's relatively cheap there. So I did all basic physical exam, blood test and TB shot there since it takes some time to get the result. They sealed the envelope with stamp and everything. It was really nice.

And I had 3 shots total at heath department and only paid $10 for visit service fee.

Mine is Friday. I'm a bit nervous, despite having relatively up to date records of vaccination (hep b in 1994 was the last entry..)

I honestly couldn't care less how much it costs, as long as the end result is an AOS approval :)

All I needed was tetanus and the flu shot, and also had to have the tuberculin test, which means going back Monday for them to test it. A few days after that, I'll be able to pick up my I-693.

Worst experience ever... for some reason I thought a walk-in clinic downtown was the best place to go. Homeless people EVERYWHERE. I felt sicker just sitting in there.

Oh well, it was only $140 + $44 for the shots. Pretty cheap :)

Medical didn't go as planned, I got the flu shot, tb test and blood drawn. I will have to go back for varicella because I never had chicken pox. I'm trying to get this done quickly :/

I got the impression that you pretty much always have to come back a second time. They told me the paperwork wouldn't even been done for a week or so.

Surprise, surprise... two days after visiting that bum-infested clinic, I'm sick. Awesome!

Even though you got the flu shot? I went to a private office but now I have to go to the health dept to get my varicella shots and I really don't want to go there

I don't think I have the flu... I think I'm sick more because of all the sick homeless people that were in the clinic when I went.

Any clinic or doctors office is likely to be full of sick people regardless of whether or not they are homeless. I suggest you bring some hand sanitizer in the future.
