I filed the AOS for my husband in September, and it was transferred on Dec 8 after an RFE sent Nov 29.

All this time I've been under the assumption that because it was transferred that this meant it was being transferred to CSC like everyone else's that I hear about on here.

Today, I decided to call USCIS and find out if any updates were made and they told me it was transferred to my local office here in DC, and that DC is currently processing cases from Febraury of 2011. Of course all USCIS can offer to do is a service request. To humor myself, I decided to check DC local office's processing time and it read ten months. I am praying this is not the case because this is TOTALLY gonna mess up my trying to go to ATI with my husband, lol.

I just wanna know is there anyone out there who has had a situation similar to this happen? Just trying to guage is this is a normal wait time, and if there is anything I can/should do.

11.29.11- RFE for Income Tax Return-- SEND YOUR ENTIRE TAX RETURN DOCUMENT!!

11.30.11- mailed Tax Return UPS Priority Express

12.9.11 AOS "transferred to a USCIS office" - - supposedly our local one

12.14.11- "touched"

12.15.11- received EAD

2.8.12- put in a service request for GC

2.22.12- My husband was contacted by the local USCIS office here in Washington DC and told that it was infact transferred to the CSC. Not their office. She also suggested he keep checking on it because sometimes things just sit there and take up to 3 years to be processed--- SAYWHAT?! ... stay tuned

3.29.12- Approved, Green Card in production

4.4.12- Green Card received- NO INTERVIEW

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

It's not a normal weight time but DC is notoriously backed up so it's not necessarily uncommon for DC. We were lucky in that cases were being processed in 5-6 months when we went through DC a year ago but a friend of ours who went through DC a year before that waited almost 12 months.

08.06.2010 - Sent off I-485
08.25.2010 - NOA hard copies received (x4), case status available online: 765, 131, 130.
10.15.2010 - RFE received: need 2 additional photos for AP.
10.18.2010 - RFE response sent certified mail
10.21.2010 - Service request placed for biometrics
10.25.2010 - RFE received per USCIS
10.26.2010 - Text/email received - AP approved!
10.28.2010 - Biometrics appointment received, dated 10/22 - set for 11/19 @ 3:00 PM
11.01.2010 - Successful biometrics walk-in @ 9:45 AM; EAD card sent for production text/email @ 2:47 PM! I-485 case status now available online.
11.04.2010 - Text/Email (2nd) - EAD card sent for production
11.08.2010 - Text/Email (3rd) - EAD approved
11.10.2010 - EAD received
12.11.2010 - Interview letter received - 01.13.11
01.13.2011 - Interview - no decision on the spot
01.24.2011 - Approved! Card production ordered!
