My POE was also LAX. It went well. My then fiance', now husband, was with me, so instead of going to the New Immigrants or Visitors queue, we were told to go the Citizens queue together. That saved us a lot of time. At first, the long queue made me worry since we only got 2 hours before our next flight, but thank GOD everything went by fast. We got out of there after a few minutes and the Immigration Officer was nice. The only question he asked us was when the wedding will be, the rest was just a casual conversation between him and my husband.

my port of entry was LAX too way back last year..i am just lucky before that the woman who sat beside me on the plane was helping me what to do and where to go in the airport..and if im not wrong i think we fall in line in tourist line coz i entered here in US thru K-1 visa. And i was not lucky coz the immigration officer who interviewed me in the airport was strict.I think it last 10 to 15 minutes or a little over by that.He asked my name, and if it was my first time here in US,he asked my fiance's name, where he live here in US,his birthday, and what's the purpose of my trip, when we gonna have our wedding. So i answered him very confident and with a smile coz i know all the answers. And I didnt show to him that im a little nervous..But then after he asked me questions then he look at my papers from the yellow envelope i got from embassy.he looked at the documents there very seriously.so it took me for a while in the immigration officer.

good luck...!!!and be confident to answer whatever the question that the immigration officer may ask..:)

Topic has been moved from AOS forum to Working & Travelling During US Immigration as the concern is about the POE and not about Adjustment of Status

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
