we belong to the San Fernando Valley Field Office. they split up LA county into North and South. Its convenient because i actually worked near that building.

sucks that they just recently moved so they fell behind. Im hoping to hear from them next week. my 4 months are almost up. i hope i can report good news too.

I checked my status online. It changed to Decision.

"On May 29, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision"

Thanks ClassyBee replying for me, yes... our RFE was for birth certificate. They received our response on 6/4/12, it's back to the waiting game again.

However, i do need some help or opinions from you guys, the information i got from the US Embassy in regards to unobtainable birth certificate is as follow:

"Applicants who cannot obtain a birth record should request a certified statement from the appropriate government authority stating the reason why the birth record is not available. Applicants may then submit this certified statement along with secondary evidence of their birth. For applicants who reside in Hong Kong, the Certificate of Registered Particulars issued by the Hong Kong Immigrant Department, is accepted in lieu of an unobtainable birth certificate. A similar document can be obtained from the Macau Direcção dos Serviços de Identificação."

In response to the RFE, we only submitted the "Certificate of Registered Particulars", you guys think that's sufficient enough? or we'll need "certified statement from government authority" or any "secondary evidence, e.g. affidavits"? We worry INS will issue RFE again at interview.

I'm under EB-2 NIW (national interest waiver)... basically means that my application (I-140) due to a growing number of applicants the responses are getting fall behind and the demand for this kind of applications is greater than the number of cases than can be approved in any given year, so they'll be "working" on the applications received before January 2009..

When I applied back in february my application status was CURRENT, means that after 4 months in average I would be granted or denied on my application, in june this status changed so now I'm on hold, nor denied nor appoved.

Hello Fellow Feb Filers!

I am also a feb filer and would like to join the "club". So far nothing good going on... still patiently waiting. Ever since the "transfer to CSC" notice in March, i haven't received anything yet: no rfe, no nothing regarding my AOS application. I did get my EAD/AP card in May. I just checked earlier if my I-485 has been "touched" lately but unfortunately nobody bothered. hehe. guess all we can do is wait...
